So when I get hate for what I do to feminine fictional characters, I just tired and just drop them cause it's not worth it, I don't feel like arguing with people like that.
I may not vibe with female characters (since I am attracted to men and when it comes to fictional characters, I only hyperfixate on male characters, aka what I am attracted to), but I’ve heard so many people say this and it’s so true, unfortunately. people who whump female characters are somehow seen as “red flags” when female characters are as much fiction and fantasies as male characters (the point is that they are not real, thoughtcrimes are not real and a person’s enjoyment, when it comes to fiction, doesn’t have to align with their real life moral values).
the sad thing is that it’s mostly the same people, who harass others for hurting fictional characters who are females, who complain about the lack of fan contents about female characters in fanfic space / fan art space.
I’d say “do whatever you want and fuck what others think, as long as you’re not harming anybody in real life”, since personally I don’t give a fuck about what strangers think about me or my fics anyway, but I understand it’s not that simple for a lot of people. so I’m sorry you had to deal with these bullies who wanted to feel morally superior by harassing others over thoughtcrimes and fictional characters.
