me, after reading world of thedas 2: okay so why didn't you mention that halward kidnapped dorian and forcibly dragged him back to qarinus, where he held him hostage for months while he planned to torture him in a blood ritual to change his sexuality. why am i supposed to make dorian give this guy a second chance? he deserves to be fucking shot.

If you don’t understand why people don’t like the big bang theory, once in an episode the cast was at a comic store browsing and a woman walked in, and one of the leads said “Is she lost?” and that was the joke.

I haven’t watched that show in a good while, but, when I did, it seemed like it only ever had two types of jokes: taking jabs at nerds for being socially awkward or oblivious and “someone said a really long word or made a reference to science-fiction/fantasy movies or comics that a person involved in the conversation doesn’t understand and that’s somehow supposed to be funny, despite the absence of an actual joke or punchline.”

And I don’t quite understand the folks who say that it made being a nerd/geek a cool thing. I really can’t promote or knock the show in any given way because I haven’t seen it in a long time and it had entertainment value to an extent, but the “moral of the story” aspect always came across like “look at how awesome these folks are despite their interests,” as opposed to in light of them. That was always my takeaway, anyway. XD
