I mean I hate to be the one to break this to you, but everything in space, including the sun, is moving through space. Very quickly, actually. The earth orbits the sun at 64,000 miles per hour, sun orbits the center of the Milky Way galaxy at 500,000 miles per hour, and the Milky Way galaxy itself is moving through space at roughly 1.3 million miles per hour.

Well since it’s now tomorrow I might as well answer your question about where the Milky Way is going. Really, there’s two different answers, a short and a long answer. The first, and shorter explanation, is that the Milky Way is heading towards our nearest galactic neighbor, the andromeda galaxy, and the two galaxies will collide within the next couple billion years. The second and much longer answer is that the Milky Way is apart of what’s called a “cluster” of galaxies. Basically, all the galaxies that are near ours. And this cluster is part of an even bigger cluster, called a “supercluster”. Superclusters are some of the largest structures in the universe, they stretch for hundreds of millions of light years and encompass hundreds of thousands of different galaxies. Our galaxy is slowly orbiting the general center of what’s called the Virgo supercluster, guided along by the gravitational pull of the galaxies around us and the structure of the universe itself.

In the middle of lunch one day, everyone minding their own business in the cafeteria, a Senior guy dressed in a banana costume came in screaming. He was in clear DISTRESS. Flailing his arms and running in zig zags. He kept screaming things like “help me!” and “he’s going to get me!” && we were all SO confused until all of a sudden a damn gorilla shows up (guy in suit, of course). He beats on his chest and lets out a huge roar, the banana lets out a shriek, and then it’s ON. These two ran through our tiny cafeteria, the gorilla roaring and the banana frantically singing “I will survive.” At one point the banana saw someone with a banana peel on their table (clearly they had ate a banana for lunch) and he took the peel from them and screamed “BROOOOTTHHHERRR!” before returning to singing “I will survive” in a much more determined tone.

It ended when our school principal took the gorilla down (yeah, tackled him to the ground, if you knew our principal you’d understand… we were a school of like 300 people TOTAL and he was like all of our best friend. Dude was cool) and yelled, “This is a banana safezone young man!”

The following day, there were ‘banana safezone’ posters everywhere and we had a school assembly where our guidance counselor talked about banana rights.

I’ve never looked at a banana the same.

2. Think of the last time you were REALLY angry. WHY were you angry? Do you still feel the same way? So here’s the thing: I am *so* bad at getting angry. I get annoyed, I get sad, I cry a bunch, but I have to feel very safe to actually feel/show my anger. Last time I got angry I was on a phonecall with my dad about the never-ending shitshow that is my job atm. Between the lines, he suggested that I can’t handle critism. And honestly, I can still get angry if I think back on it. Because I can handle critism, as long as it’s constructive and reasonable. But when people are nagging about my personality...Fuck off. 

13.When was the last time you told someone HONESTLY how you felt regardless of how difficult it was for you to say? Who was it? What did you have to tell the person? Oh god. Ehhhh. This is the Fem is bad at *feelings* edition of question answering. Again, I have to feel safe or my feelings must be overflowing, which they have been a lot lately. Last time a friend and I were the only ones still in our online meeting and we were just catching up, so he asked me how I was doing and I had to tell him that I have made some very hard decisions regarding my job, because I noticed that my mental health was getting so bad that self-care was being thrown out of the window, including but not limited to lack of eating decent foods (i.e. resorting to candy or cookies instead of healthy, nutritional food) and letting my house get into a mess. That was difficult, because I hadn’t had the courage to tell anyone else that. 

15. What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up? Why would it be hard to lose? If the pandemic has taught me anything, it’s that Humans can deal with a lot more than we give ourselves credit for. If you had asked me this question a year ago, my answer might have been very different. Ofcourse, with the pandemic we still presume it’s all temporarily, so let’s assume this means losing something forever.  In the end, I think relationships are by far the most important thing we have, so losing my friends and immediate family would be devastating to me, as loneliness is one of my biggest fears.  If we’re talking about more material things: Eh...I guess not having internet access is hard in 2021 (I assume that there is internet, but I just can’t access it at all in this scenario) or books. Not having books would suck too. 

17. If there was one moment and one time in the last month what would you change and why? I mean. Dude. Shit has been so messy lately. I mean. I could pick the moment I forgot to call someone even though I promised I would and make it so I wouldn’t forget so I didn’t have to deal with an angry co-worker again, or one of the many times I cried my eyes out or procrastinated because I was too tired from crying my eyes out or...Damn, there have been many I-want-this-differently moments in the last month. I’m sorry, I just don’t have a clear answer right now. ‘

25.If you could do anything or wish anything, what would it be? Ehhhhhhhhh. Pfff. In the end I guess my biggest wish is to not have that pesky muscular disease, because it does impact my life in a negative way quite a bit and it’s something I could never get rid off unless it’s in a wish-scenario.

It can be difficult to understand just how routine-oriented cats can be if you’ve never owned one. If my oven timer goes off and I’m slow responding to it, my cats will run and fetch me and lead me right to it, because the beepy thing means the human is supposed to go into the kitchen, and are they the only ones around here who give a damn about the Rules?

One night my partner decided to stay up and play video games whilst I got an early night, and the cat responded to this by running from the bedroom to the living room yelling, because only ONE human had gone to bed and so IS IT BEDTIME OR NOT HUMANS, MAKE UP YOUR MINDS, THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A HOUSEHOLD.

One thing I really miss from home is that whenever it came to be about 10 or 11 o’clock my cat would jump up on my bed and wait for me to get my pajamas on and brush my teeth, BUT if I didn’t seem to be doing the usual routine then she would come and pester me until I got up and did the mandatory night time rituals.
