kaboom, another john price
Unbeknownst to most, Phillip Graves is not the worst ex husband in the world.
Not the best, but the man just shy of a B.
Theres not a doubt in his mind that he loved you, he still loves you. But sometimes love can be a little messy, adding a little too much over protectiveness with small hints of jealousy and maybe it just wasn’t the right time.
Co parenting isn’t a issue for him, doesn’t need to be asked twice about doctors visits, or the little graduation ceremony held at the end of the year for your one year old who hasn’t a clue what’s going on at day care. He’s recording the milestones and sending them to you when he’s not deployed, asking to hear the babies voice when he’s is— hell, the man is still paying your bills in the house he left for you and your baby even though you told him not to.
It’s when you bring a new man around, old habits don’t die soon. Phillip Graves doesn’t mind arguments in the parking lot at the meeting place, or sizing up the first guy you tried to bring around wip just couldn’t handle the intimidation from Graves, randomly popping up to your house with the key he still has to see if the ‘cameras still work’ or the ‘drain is clogging right’ just as you’re about to make out with the person you were dating.
The bastard.
Today’s no different, the southern man actually approved of the guy you’re seeing for once. Didn’t put up a fight, had a look in his blue eyes you just couldn’t read. A tension in his shoulders when he picked up your baby for his last couple of days before deploying, ‘oh, this might actually be the end of it.’
But after two months, all he wants to see if you and your kid. Hear the rabbles and babbles of your beautiful child you created while you smile and go through all the pics he’s missed out on. But today is quiet, babies down for a nap, Phillip can hear the rustling of laundry upstairs, the tv low to some show with 7 seasons. You’re pretty when his eyes land on you after making it upstairs, curls in two low ponytails, small hoops in your peircings, plain violet mid sleeve tee shirt that just compliments you so well, jeans that hug every curve on you just the way he likes. Mouth watering.
He gives the open door to your bedroom a knock. “Hey sweetheart.”
You try your bed to smile, but it’s meek, “Hi Graves, welcome back.”
Graves blue eyes wash over you, gh way you keep shifting on your feet, a little drained, “What’s wrong honey? You alright?”
You couldn’t hide it even if you tried, “Me at that guy I was dating broke up.”
He leans against the dresser, turning the volume lower on the tv, he takes it in, nodding, “Huh.” But now the question is, why would anyone on gods given earth want to break up with a prize like you? He feels his jaw lock, “Can you tell me what happened or was it just some bullshit.”
A bit of both.
You sigh, “He couldn’t fathom that I would put our child before him. And when I told him he should rethink it, he tried pinning it on me. That I could leave the baby with you—“ you take a frustrated deep breath out. Putting your energy into folding the pile of clothes on your bed. It shouldn’t be so heavy on your mind- but it’s gnawing at you. Irritated you that someone felt entitled like that, even if you’d only been dating him seriously for 4 months. Phillip would never think like that—
“I bet you’re happy it ended though right?” You try to laugh it off, eyes finally meeting his. And he’s got so much a soft look on his face when he looks at you, but it’s disgruntled, eyebrows knitted together, leaning against the dresser with his arms folded over his chest.
“Why would I ever want you t’be unhappy [+]?” Says it as if it’s a curse. The whole thing below him.
Gladiator!Konig, who dominates the Colosseum, fighting in the sandy pits and entertaining the crowds of commoners and even the Emperor himself. The hot sun beats down on his skin, sweat rolling off his muscles that he used to hold up his shield and spear.
He towered over the male lion in front of him, showing no signs of fear when his spear cut through the thick hide, claiming victory over the beast and living another day. His keepers, annoying spineless men in their fancy silks and glimmering jewels, were making a fortune off him, parading him around dinner parties much to his despise, the crowned jewel of the arena.
But they have to allow him to blow off some of his frustration sometimes :(
Enter poor you, a servant for one of the men, given to Konig to have his way with. Konig's primal instincts rear their ugly head as he drags you off to his own quarters, tugging off his musky, dirty armour while he forces you to tend to his wounds, rubbing healing ointments into the strained muscles while he soaks in the milk bath.
He enjoys how skittish you are, too, jumping and flinching like a pretty little doe every time he makes the slightest movement or noise. But as much as he likes making you squirm, he'd rather have you squirming on his veiny, hung cock instead :(
And the worst part of it all is that he refuses to wear anything when he's alone with you. His huge body, with big and strong muscles and a healthy layer of fat over him, creating the perfect image of masculinity and virility to display like a prized stallion. And his cock is just too heavy to stand up on its own :( Thick and long, with fat veins running down to the uncut tip. His balls hanging low and full and fat between his thighs, pent up with sperm from the adrenaline of the fight today.
He's lying on his bed, a comfy ring of pillows and animal furs strewn about around him, while he grunts for you to come closer, an amused, smug grin on his face when your eyes dart to his hard cock drooling out so much precum it stains the sheets and furs beneath him.
Why don't you come over and sit on his lap, he just wants to keep you warm :)
I have a low-key diabolical König sketch I want to clean up… but I don’t know if John Tumblr will like it
Every part of König gives you more reason to love him, and more cause to lust after him.
König's hands, calloused and worn, but not as rough as they might look. He tries to remember to use a hand salve—from the little tin that you gifted him—while he's on assignment, but he can never figure out the proper amount to use. When he's home, he comes to you, holding the small metal container in his hand: "bitte, mein liebe, you are much better at the lotion than I am." König's hands in yours, big and warm and soothed by the salve—not lotion, you remind him to no avail. König's hands, scarred and veiny, but so gentle despite his size. König's hands in your hair while you snuggle up next to him, pulled into his lap so that he can run his fingers over your scalp while your eyes flutter shut.
König's hands exploring every inch of your skin. König's hands running up your sides while he's buried to the hilt inside you, gripping your waist to keep you from squirming, but it's just so good, you can't help it. König's hands holding the nape of your neck so that you can’t look away from him while he pounds into your soaked cunt relentlessly. König's hands around your face, palm pressed delicately against your chin while you suckle eagerly on his thick fingers.
König's arms, muscular and bruised from being thrown against doors so often. He doesn't complain about the bruising; never seems to care about the pulsing ache that occurs when he accidentally presses against one when opening a door with his shoulder. But you coo over him regardless, and kiss the purple blotches as if your love alone might help them heal. König's arms that wrap around your waist with ease, allowing him to press himself close to you while you do even the most menial task, because he doesn't care that you need to finish dinner, he wants to hold you now, Schatz.
König's arms holding his large frame above you while he presses kisses to your neck and chest, teasing you before he gives into what you both want. König's arms caging you in on the mattress while he groans in your ear, sinking into you with a whimper. König's arms, the muscles in his forearms strained from this position but it's exactly the kind of workout he wants. König's arms that are just so perfectly situated on either side of you, you just can't help but reach up and wrap your fingers around them. And they're too big for you to get a real grip on but, god, isn’t that the point?
König's stomach and chest, softer around the edges when he's on leave. König's chest, the perfect pillow for you when you join him in bed, face buried against him and the coarse, dark hair that tickles your cheek when you nuzzle him, fingers trailing innocently down his happy trail just to appreciate the sensation. König's stomach, muscles tightening just a bit beneath your hands as you explore the warm skin of his tummy. He never understands your affection for his bulkier appearance; doesn’t get why you find something as simple as his attempts to gain muscle mass so appealing. But, then, he doesn't complain when you kiss him from collar to navel so delicately.
König’s chest heaving while you press wet kisses to it, sitting up on your knees in front of him. The muscles in his stomach pull taut while you fuck the head of his cock with your fist, no urgency to your movements. You will kill me, Schatz, he whines when your free hand splays over his stomach, your mouth finding his nipple and offering teasing kitten licks. König’s stomach, covered in his spend when he finally lets go for you, giving you another excuse to worship his body by licking him clean.

hard-of-hearing!john price x wife!reader
inspired wholly by this hard of hearing!simon by @ynstark — i’ve been plagued by the thought ever since
cw: suggestive
he hears the kettle just fine when it whistles, and he hears the front door when it slams with the wind. what he doesn’t hear, almost ever, is you.
“john,” you call.
you get nothing in return. he’s got his feet up on the coffee table, his reading glasses sliding down the bridge of his nose, some dense paperback open in his hands.
“john,” you try again, huffing.
still nothing. the corner of the room he’s not facing may as well be another county.
you cross to the sofa and stop right in front of him until the shape of you finally registers and he looks up over the rim of his glasses, eyebrows lifting like you’ve appeared out of nowhere.
“what?”
“i called for you twice.”
“did you?” he asks, lips pursing slightly.
you’ve been dealing with this for a long while. over dinner, leaning across the table, repeating yourself, watching him nod at the wrong moments and answer questions you never asked. in the kitchen, talking to his back, getting no reply. in bed, breathing his name against his neck, not getting the same response from him you would’ve got a few years ago.
decades of gunfire and breaching charges and the thumping punch of helo rotors, year over year. by the time anyone thought to check, preserving it was out of the question because the damage was already there. the audiologist had been matter-of-fact about it. showed him the chart, the slope of it dropping off. he nodded along like it was someone else’s ear.
its so wild how dismissive ppl are about medieval bubonic plague PPE. that shit was seriously so fucking smart and we act like it doesn't count, bc people back then conceptualized the routes by which it worked differently than we do now. ppl just act like essentially it's an example of fundamentally getting something "wrong," and any benefits the PPE had must therefore have been incidental? when modern PPE for so many things has barely advanced from that very design, aside from materials and small details? BONKERS. BONKERS way to act about a technology that we have only improved on rather than rendered obsolete by reason of developing an alternative that is better. hubris, thy name is "human beings who are alive currently"
"Lmao they believed in the four humors" <- society that believes in BMI
Now imagine a soulmate au where your soulmates name is written on you, right?
You've known the name "john price" long before you knew how to write your own, child fingers tracing the letters on your arm, reverent.
You tried finding him, of course you did, but as it happens john price is far too common of a name. You give up on your dreams eventually. life demands you to actually live it instead of waiting for the signal to go.
As it happens, on one of your nights out you stumble upon him.
John price. You had noticed him in the bar earlier, drawn to him in a way you couldn't explain, and now it's him approaching you. He nods at your exposed arm, body between you and the rest of the crowd, almost possessive. "You are my soulmate, yes?"
Your name rolls off his tongue like honey, has your soul thumping at the thought of the one.
John price is big, strong, and dangerously handsome. He smells like whiskey and smoke and expensive cologne that tells you the gold around his neck is real. He keeps glancing at your mark with a smile, awestruck the same as you.
"Can i see my name? I want...I want to feel it." You tug at his leather jacket impatiently.
"Ah, bad idea. I was...hurt. left a scar right next to it, looks quite gruesome." He frowns, redirecting your hand to his lips for a kiss. You understand, soulmarks are personal, add in insecurity about scars and...you decide not to push.
Still, when his hand slides low on your back, eyes lidded in desire, you follow him home.
God are you thankful john is your soulmate, you're not sure how you could enjoy another man after the night he gave you. Entire body sore and pleased, face-down on his bed.
That's the exact image nikolai sends price, your soulmark clear in the frame. Followed by the message "warmed it up for you, john ;)"
“You are my soulmate, yes?”
I was like…why does he sound Russian in this?
Oh.
Fully plagued by the thought that Ghost spends time between ops checking on Soap’s family for him.
They don’t know it. Never see or notice him watching.
Price doesn’t know either. He’s too busy seeking revenge to know that Ghost is ripping his own heart out watching Soap’s mother pull his sisters in closer now that he’s gone.
There’s a gaping hole in the MacTavish family that they wistfully smile over while fighting the tears and the ache of the now quieter family gatherings. But they don’t cry, because Johnny wouldn’t have wanted them to. He’d want them to remember him with laughter.
So Ghost watches from a distance, when he can. Makes sure they’re safe and reports back to Johnny at that foggy cliff near Dunnottar where they spread his ashes, the wind stealing his voice. He prefers it that way. Doesn’t want to hear his own words. They’re just for Johnny anyway.
“Rose’s lass can ride a bike now. Still wobbly without the trainers, but she’s stubborn. I’ll send her a helmet for you.”
“Christina’s boy took a beating in his football match. But he got up and kept going.”
He doesn’t tell him that his heart tore a little when he saw the mud smeared on the kid’s cheek and it reminded him of Soap’s war paint.
He keeps updates about them in Soap’s journal. His youngest sister’s wedding. His cousin receiving a commendation. He can’t give the journal to Soap’s family. There’s too many mission notes, breach schematics, and one extremely graphic cartoon drawing of Makarov in there.
So he keeps it. Updates it. For no one. A record for a life that should’ve kept going.
Im making a cosplay for a convention/ renaissance faire rn and I was curious. Who do you think of the 141 would have the most fun at those sorts of events?? I think Johnny would have a lot of fun, but i can also see the others letting loose more than they typically would.
Soap is in his element. He loves all the light, color, and sound. Doesn’t mind the crowds at all. He’s grabbing himself a massive turkey leg and a beer all while wearing his best kilt. He’s there to watch the jugglers, the fire dancers, and the acrobats. At the joust, he’s the loudest member in the crowd. Johnny is going to every food stall and dropping a bunch of money on things he doesn’t need. You won’t manage to drag him out until they kick him out.
Price would enjoy himself but stick to the calmer activities. If he’s a dad and attending the renaissance faire, he’s keeping track of all the littles and purchasing far too many things for his own kids. Daughter wants the face paint and fairy wings? Done. Son wants to spend all his time petting the animals? Fine. That’s what showers are for. The man is enjoying his drink, his grub, and corralling the young ones.
Gaz is a lot like Soap but calmer. He’s wandering through all the shops and vendors, exploring every nook and cranny he can find. Dresses up and on theme but he’s comfortable in what he’s wearing. Loves a good contest and always seeks out the hawk master to look at and talk about the birds. Better about spending his money. The man makes a budget and sticks to it for food and shopping. Absolutely Johnny’s side kick at these events.
Ghost is calm and curious during these events. You won’t see him cheering at the joust or making himself noticeable. The man wants to blend in. He wants to explore. While the vendors and shop are interesting, he prefers the artisans demonstrating their skills of blacksmithing and glass blowing. He gravitates toward admiring the work and asking questions. Between it, he’s at the mermaid cove admiring the beautiful men and women, or he’s out performing everyone in the axe throwing contest.
CoD Headcanons / AUs / Quick Writes Masterlist
I know the beloved headcanon is Johnny is hairy as fuck, but imagine how funny it would be if he was dolphin smooth. you reach your hand down his pants and it’s bald, not a hair in sight. pecks and pits? nothing, legs? nothing, arms? nothing, back? absolutely nothing. no happy trail, he sees Price’s and fumes with jealousy
This makes me laugh because this is how I (a Soap’s bush supporter) see Ghost.
That man not only waxes his chest but he spends a stupid amount of time admiring it in the mirror afterward.
Loser!König who feels offended when you call making out with him ‘fooling around’. the lump in his throat feels suffocating, thinking about how he sloppily kissed you, felt your hands groping him. he was star-struck when you let him touch you too, rough hands indecisively roaming your sides. fooling around, it makes your little session earlier sound so… lame to him. was it not good enough to be called something else? anything else? his only solution is pulling you aside for longer, trapping you against him with kisses and roving hands, stuttering hips bucking against you as he holds your waist. surely you wouldn’t call that fooling around, right? not if his eager kisses and pitiful whining leads to you riding him or letting him pound into you
Every part of König gives you more reason to love him, and more cause to lust after him.

ᡕᠵデᡁ᠊╾━
Simon remembered his father's thick leather belt with a metal buckle, how the engraved image of a bull shone in the morning light. When he whipped his son with this very belt, he liked to say, "Some need a push, while others need no spur!" The boy apparently needed even more than that. For him, whipping was the most terrible punishment, usually one that went unexplained.
At the moment, the executioner's motives were generally understandable, but, to the captors' chagrin, they were ineffective. Ghost remained silent, clenching his teeth so hard he was surprised they hadn't cracked yet. With each lash across his bare back, his body convulsed in agony. Streams of blood flowed from the long welts, mixing with dirt. His joints ached from kneeling for so long, his wrists, shackled to a pillar, chafed against the rough metal, but this faded further into the background with each swing of the whip.
"Took the position, I see him. Over."
You lay on your stomach on the roof of an old high building. Under the scorching Afghan sun, the concrete was as hot as a frying pan.
"Got your coordinates. How many are there?"
You peered at the rough male faces through the rifle scope. Hidden among the ring of houses, there were five captors in the small courtyard. Two of them took turns passing the whip back and forth, lashing Ghost across his back.
You had been taught to detach yourself, to focus on the task at hand, without thinking about personal matters. In combat, there are no connections except enemies and allies. You thought you were mastering this lesson. Then why did it hurt so much to breathe? Because he's down there, and you're forced to watch, and, with every swing of the torture device, force a desperate sob back down your throat.
You can't cry. If your vision blurs now, you'll miss.
"Echo, go."
You didn't need to be told twice. Having already found the right angle, you pulled the trigger. The first one fell silently, decorating the nearest wall with the contents of his skull. The other two didn't even have time to react before they were next. It was the executioners' turn, and the whip only just managed to cut the air one last time. It missed and cracked the ground. At that moment, in the rifle's scope, you thought you saw Ghost's battered back shudder with a silent sob.
The streets were empty, as if this part of the city had become deserted, and you'd finished off the last five survivors. You ran down the building's stairs, leaping several at a time, then raced through the narrow, dusty streets, driven by fear and pain deep between your ribs.
Ghost was too weak to even acknowledge your arrival with a nod. His once powerful, strong body was now held upright only by the shackles above his head. His back —oh God and the Holy Mother!— was covered in blood, caked from the scorching sun, his skin reddened and blistered from the furrows of deep wounds and sunburn. He was wearing nothing but his underwear.
"Hey, hey, hey... Wake up! Hey! Don't sleep, Ghost!" You fell to your knees before him, trying to peer into his lowered face. His eyes were closed, pale face covered in bruises and sweat. Beads of unshed tears glistened on his blond eyelashes. And yet, he was breathing.
"Look here, lovely. It's me, it's over," you fumbled with the shackles. The metal was hot, leaving red burns and abrasions on the skin of his wrists. Panicking, you tried your best to keep your fingers from shaking as you worked the pick on the rusty lock. It wasn't working.
"Price, I need backup!"
There was a delay on the other end of the walkie-talkie, and silence on the other line. After a minute that felt like an eternity, the captain's voice hissed.
"We have a problem, wait at the shelter, I'll send you the coordinates."
"He's barely conscious, I can't carry him!" But Price couldn't hear your cries anymore.
A quiet wheeze escaped Simon's cracked lips. You pulled the kufiya off yourself, carefully wrapping the scarf around his head and lower face, wiped the sweat and sandy dust from his forehead with a corner of the cloth. Those who had forcibly seen this face were already dead.
When the shackles finally gave way, Ghost fell chest-first onto the wooden pillar, and you barely managed to catch him.
"I know you're tired, I know," you whispered, shifting his weight onto your shoulder. "I know, lovely, but we need to go. I'll help you stand up, okay? Please, just try, for me."
His eyelids flattened heavily, revealing dilated pupils that stared into nothing. He seemed to hear, but didn't fully comprehend. You placed the neck of a flask to his lips, and he took a few sips with great effort. After a couple of minutes of panting, his gaze cleared.
"On the count of three. One, two..." It was difficult to lift him without touching his back. Blood was still flowing and pooling beneath him on the hot sand. You managed to sling his arm over your shoulder, shifting most of his weight onto yourself. The rifle bag was pressed against your other shoulder.
The coordinates Price had sent pointed to a dead end in a passageway between two old buildings. A small door, the same color as the building itself, was hidden in the wall of one of them, and you confidently assumed that was where you were going. Dragging Ghost here had been its own challenge: at first, he moved his legs on his own, groaning in pain, but soon his strength began to gradually fail him. The heat and the blood loss finished him off equally, with no less cruelty, as the Taliban would have done.
A staircase led down from the mysterious door. The small basement room had long been empty, but a single light bulb in the middle was still working, casting a faint, pale glow. Beneath the bulb stood a wooden table on which you had laid Ghost without wiping off the dust first.
"I'm sorry! Sorry, I'm so sorry..." your voice cracked as he howled in pain. His muscles contracted with renewed vigor, arching in agony.
Your first aid kit contained concentrated hydrogen peroxide, which you hurriedly diluted with water. You fed Simon a few painkillers, but there was no time to wait for them to take effect, so you cut open his clothes and poured the solution onto his mangled back. The roar that erupted from his chest momentarily stunned you. Tears welled in your eyes in panic.
You couldn't afford to be afraid. The first-aid kit was tiny, and in this basement there were only a couple of bandages and a bottle of alcohol. You used whatever was at hand to stop the bleeding and treat the wounds. The skin on his back was blistered at the edges of the cuts, dark red, purple and blue in places. When everything was done, Ghost lay motionless, his wrists dangling over the edge of the table. The pain evoked a strange sense of deja vu. Back then, in his childhood, beaten black and blue, little Riley would trace the pattern of a bull imprinted on his skin and imagine green, sunny meadows instead of wallpaper stained with grease and dirt.
You leaned back and slid down the wall of the floor. You didn't sleep, watching Ghost's even breathing waver from time to time. He would drift in and out of consciousness for a few minutes.
The team wasn't responding to your attempts to contact by radio, which was getting on your nerves even more. The basement was pleasantly cool. Outside, it was quiet, save for the rustling of sand blow by wind through the streets. Listening to this soft sound, you almost missed Simon's hoarse whisper.
Jumping up, the next second you were by his side, crouched at the edge of the table so your faces were level, just a few centimeters apart. You lowered the kufiya a bit, and Ghost greedily sipped from the flask you offered him. A few droplets ran down his stubbled cheek and soaked into the wood of the table. You wiped the wet trail away with your fingertips.
The lump forming in your throat choked you. Though he remained silent, Simon watched from under his heavy lids. His intelligent eyes never left yours. You leaned down and lightly brushed your lips over his eyebrow, then the other, the tip of his nose, the corner of his lips...
"I'm fine," he said.
"Are you?" A humorless, nervous laugh escaped you.
"Well... maybe after a few... more kisses..." He couldn't get the words out in one breath.
Blinking back tears, you rested your chin on the edge of the table. "You'll get as much as you want if you behave."
"If I said that... you'd call me... cringe."
"Cringe is being caught by the Taliban."
He only huffed in response, attempting to chuckle, the corner of his lips twitched slightly. Burying your fingers in his hair, you gently massaged his scalp and the back of his neck until he grimaced in discomfort.
"Stop?"
"Don't."
The radio, forgotten against the wall, hissed, breaking the silence.
"Echo, how copy? We're coming. Over."
Just Simon Riley between ops, being the fucking worst.
He lives in the flat below you.
Well, when he’s there. It could be weeks, could be months. Then he just shows up like the complex hadn’t been perfectly happy without him and starts chain smoking on his balcony.
He never fucking sleeps.
His TV is always playing the most bland, monotone documentaries you’ve ever heard in your life. You’re sick of hearing about boat locks and the Panama Canal. Or that one channel you think you’ve maybe heard him mutter about on collector coins.
And the trash. Why does he always take it out at half three in the morning? His recycling is nothing but glass beer bottles that rattle your eardrums as they fall into the bin, setting off the yowling cats in the back alley.
You wish he’d take those stupid boots off too. Clomping on the creaky wood floors like someone let a horse into the unit. It wouldn’t be so bad if he would stop pacing long enough for you to study.
Who’re you kidding? Yes it would. You can’t even escape his obnoxiousness during the day. You go to do laundry in the complex facilities, and he’s looming over the washers, 3 loads of olive drab going at the same time, not a tic of an apology on his face. He just stares.
You’re pretty sure he hires prostitutes too. Couple times a week, there’s a knock on the door late. Not a word exchanged, but you can hear just about everything through the crappy floors. He treats it like a service call. Like when the plumbing needs fixing and you call a professional, it’s just what he does.
And afterward you always hear the shower running, longer than the time he spent with them. The next morning, the Mason jar on his balcony table is twice as full of cigarette butts as usual and the smell of lemon disinfectant emanates faintly from below.
When you’ve finally had enough, you decide to enlighten him while also finally realizing a way to study that helps the material stick:
“Chlamydia. Bacterial. Doxycycline. Hundred milligrams. Twice a day. Seven days,” you shout down over the railing.
You’re not quite sure, but the sound that ground out from below might’ve been a gruff laugh.
König
Here is my first real-cided love from Call of Duty... His hype is dead but I still love this dude. It's insane how the lack of information can kill the character completely just cuz of some corny hcs. Anyways, I'm not better tho, let's start
König as a comrade/squadmate (specifically in a professional environment)
