While I absolutely adore all the atheist OCs that people make for DA, there is so much rich deliciousness that can be found by making an overtly or even a "medieval mild" religious OC for Dragon Age.
And not just a "Chant-thumping Andrastian", but also a Lavellan who is politically astute and knows their role as the Chosen of Andraste could potentially allow a (gradural or not, entirely up to the writer) a rehabilitation between the Chantry ideals and Dalish polytheism.
In places such as Late Antiquity West Asia, a rigid diametric "monotheism-against-polytheism" wasn't actually the evidential norm, and different Christian, Islamic, and Jewish thinkers actively engaged with their "paganistic" roots in different ways and thinking). Monolatry, henotheism, and among others existed across much of Late Antiquity, to the chagrin of Imperial authorities. We see evidence of this in Dragon Age via Inquisitor Ameridan and his perspective of Andraste and the Elvish gods, but I think there is something interesting to see a Lavellan Inquisitor trying to grapple and use their new position to change perspectives regarding the Dalish and such.
Or a Hawke (like my mage Hawke Deianira) utilizing their extensive displays of piety and religious fervor to strengthen their political connections with the Kirkwaller establishment; and with Deianira, she think it is also funny knowing the Chantry can't touch her and they have to suffer performing the sacraments with a mage in attendance.
Idk. I think religious history is fascinating, so maybe that's just a me thing, but it's interesting thinking how faith and institutional religions could influence the different Dragon Age protagonists, lol.
actually is so funny that there is 0 canonically templar/templar romance in all the saga and extra material (correct me if im wrong in a book or comic i havent read tho) is like they are allergic to date an equal

I haven’t written in forever sooooo hopefully it’s ok.
bitches never talk about cole because if they looked at the totality of his character (asunder, his lines in DAI, the banters about him, the ambient dialogue about him in skyhold), it would become painfully clear that their opinions on other characters are skewed by their own biases and (arguably) misconceptions about the world of thedas.
cole is a spirit of compassion. he explicitly does not like people who hurt other people or who don't care about other people. the closest bonds he forms in the inquisition? solas, varric tethras, and cullen rutherford.

The Inquisitor vs Public Opinion
Thought it would be fun to draw how the Inquisitor might be depicted vs how he actually is. Jordan isn't taking the criticisms too well.
Enjoy!

I know this is his unofficial king outfit but for me it's his wedding fit!! and he's a Grey Warden who marries Miss Laia Amell (a non Warden!) after a whirlwind courtship 🙂↕️

(Also, the parapets are about knee height. You can pretend it’s either higher because I wanted it to match the meme, or that Cullen is on his knees smoking on the battlements, take your pick.)
