I have had to go on early morning patrols through the city to find injured and deceased seabirds who have gotten confused by the light from the city and crashed into buildings. the sentiment in these screenshots is so, so frustrating. light pollution is a HUGE environmental concern and not something to snarkily wave away like this. yuck.

there are very easy solutions to light pollution too!! "okay and what are you going to do about it? blow up every power plant? abolish cities?" what are you talking about!! low-disruption red street lights can make a HUGE positive impact on wildlife, sky glow, and even human night vision. and that's only ONE solution. there are so many more that we can implement.

I'm usually a lot more patient about this kind of thing, but something about the way these posts are worded really hurt. we're not "whinging" about light pollution. we're trying to get more focus on the issue because it ends lives.
