honestly at 11/12 years old the only two people who can probably get through to fanny is rachel or kuki— anyone says anything ‘can you be a bit more considerate?’ she’s just brush it off ‘yeah whatever if you’re hurt that’s your problem’ but she just. can’t do that with rachel and kuki

of all the operatives, of all the boys in the knd, maurice was actually a good operative. every since his chickenpox speech, fanny had secretly admired his dedication to the cause. it wasn’t a glorious job, but necessary.

And now Maurice was being as bad as the rest of them.

she expected better of him. everyone’s scared of decommissioning ( which is really stupid in the first place it’s just decommissioning ) but that doesn’t mean you have to spend the last months sulking around with nothing to do. continue fighting for the cause, you’re still a kid and still a kids next door, and that was what she expected of a great kid like maurice.

But kids turn into teens and teens need to be decommissioned.
