I miss Elena Gilbert.

This is not about DE or SE or any ship-related crap. This is about Elena, and only about her. This is about how much i miss the way she was back in seasons 1 - 3. She was selfless, she was sincere, she was brave and she used to put everyone else before her. Remember when she was going to sacrifice herself in season 2 to save her friends and loved ones? Or everything she did to protect Jeremy in season 1? Or all she went trough to save Stefan in season 3? But somehow this Elena is gone. Somehow she was changed to a Elena that was able to kill Kol in season 4 even though she knew it would kill thousands of innocent vampires that had absolutely nothing to do with her problems.

And what annoys me the most is the way she threats BOTH Stefan and Damon. She kissed Damon in season 3 and chose Stefan at the finale. She broke up with Stefan in season 4 to be with Damon and in last night's episode she was all flirty with him. Like this is not enough, she keeps complaining about Stefan seeing her like a broken toy and about Damon lying to her about stuff he wants to resolve by his own. But she already know they are like this! She knows Stefan cares too much about stuff and takes blame about everything. She knows Damon likes to handle stuff by his own terms. Then why is she complaining?!?! And what she hated so much that they did to her is exactly what she's doing to both of them. She flirted with Stefan, told him all about their relationship , showed him the important moments they had together, held his face in her hands and nearly kissed him before telling him she was seeing her brother. Stefan had no memory of any of it and in less then a day she could break his heart all over again. She played him like a toy just the way she said he did with her. And Damon? All the lying she complains about? Did she told him about dreaming with Stefan all summer long? Did she tell him about all the flirting they had before he took off?  Stefan and Damon did some pretty awful stuff with her, like taking her to Wickery Bridge as bate to Klaus and killing Jeremy. But what she's doing to them, the way she's destroying their relationship as brothers to please her own wishes makes me mad. Mostly because she knows what Katherine did to them and judged her. She said a lot of a crap about Stefan, Damon and Katherine and she's doing all the same things. This just doesn't looks like the Elena we knew and loved. I miss her. Hope she comes back.

The writers knew that there was no way in hell Elena would ever unfall for Stefan and choose Damon so they created the sirebond to make her fall out of love with him. Stefan however was still just as much in love with her as he’d ever been, I feel like this amnesia is their way to force him move on.

Elena burned her diaries and left her old life behind. Stefan burned his diaries and left his old life behind. I feel like I’m supposed to let go of Stelena and move on too
