I am incredibly inspired by the new Sims 4 Kits, “Bridgerton Masquerade” and “Bridgerton Ball,” and would love to see some of these beautiful items brought over to The Sims 3. Specifically, I’m hoping to have the following items converted:

The light blue, ornate dress: (as seen in the first item of your reference image)

The masks: (particularly the ornate one with flowers and gems, and the purple domino mask)

The floral arch: (the one with the white and pink roses)

The elegant white door/archway: (the one with the detailed molding)

The floral piano and bench:

The male outfits: (the historical/regency-style outfits)

The floral hair accessory: (the one with the white berries)

From laughter to deep theories: my journey into the world of King Arthur

I first became acquainted with the British epic at the age of 10. My father gifted me an illustrated book, whose author I no longer remember. The book contained one episode that made me laugh very much: before proposing to his wife, King Arthur asked Merlin to change his appearance and then got a job as a gardener for his future father-in-law. He was only unmasked when Duke Northumberland attacked the father’s kingdom. After exploring other versions of the legend, I concluded that this episode is a reference to King Arthur’s father. While studying this topic, I came to the conclusion that Camelot fell not because of infidelity, but because Merlin was imprisoned in a crystal grotto (according to the second part of Thomas Malory’s trilogy), which led the king to appoint his chief adviser.

Boards 1 & 2: These contain items (crowns and cloaks) from Crusader Kings III that I would love to see converted for The Sims 3.

Board 3: This board features some original fantasy designs that I am looking to have created. However, please note that item #9 on this board (a set of decor) was originally created for The Sims 4 by an unknown author. I would be very grateful if this specific decor item could also be considered for conversion.

What I love and hate about The Sims 4

Love

Active careers – the reason I installed this iteration in the first place.

Smarter event system – parties, dates, and holidays run more smoothly.

Clubs based on interests – effortless group gameplay.

Refined celebrity system – fame feels earned, not random.

Better entrepreneurship – own and upgrade businesses, train employees, take courses.

Dual-form Occult Sims – vampires, werewolves, spellcasters swap looks at will.

Blackmail system – secrets have teeth.

Trait evolution through play – volunteer enough and you’ll become Kind or Generous; a neat fix for the three-trait limit versus Sims 3’s six.

Fame via philanthropy, busking, book sales, or painting – would love a Sims 3 mod that ports this over.

Hate

HATE

Microscopic DLC slicing. Realm of Magic could easily have been merged with Vampires, Werewolves, Paranormal, Life & Death, and Eco-Lifestyle. Likewise, City Living could swallow For Rent, Seasons, Outdoor Retreat, Island Living, and Snowy Escape.

No recolouring of clothes or furniture.

No cars even though we supposedly have an “open” neighbourhood.

Build/Buy and CAS items locked behind successful community events or career milestones – happiness points would have been a fairer reward.

Brave Sims still get scared – makes no sense.

Fishing only at sign-posted spots; beachfront Sims must jog halfway across the map.

Fencing-tournament winners earn zero fame – also illogical.

Redundant traits: Cringe/Awkward, Kind/Generous, etc.

Aristocratic socials scattered everywhere – should be one tidy menu.

Lack of inbound invitations: TS3 Sims constantly invited you to parties/dates; I hoped balls would use the same tech. (Holding them at the Belakor cocktail lounge fixes the space issue, but auto-invites would deepen role-play.)

Lifetime Want whims sometimes clash with a Sim’s actual personality.

Childhood aspiration system is great in theory, weak in practice.

Fame perks tied to a hard number of celebrity friends – artificial grind.

Bartenders: they take your money on the first order but only pour on the second.
