A sketch before bed I didn't get a chance to finish, gotta warm up more before going for it
I lived bitch.
Lazy sketch while I get back on track
Lol couldn't include my body put together notes however I've been following a course on Udemy for learning to draw people by Scott Harris as of late and I feel like I'm getting a much better understanding of art fundamentals.
It's genuinely super mind bending to just finally learn the basic fundamentals of how to build the form of the body. I haven't really taken an initiative to learn it I've just kind of winged it over my vague art career since like early HS. A LOT of it looks scuffed don't get me wrong but the idea still pops out. Having gone from trying to learn by guessing it really feels like my mind has opened wide the fuck up. Like I can finally see through the fog. the fog the fog the fog the fog the fo-
If I could really point out a few things I've learned that are key and crucial are
1. Shapes are the best building blocks and familiarizing yourself with them and how they are incorporated into the body can help with structuring the idea you have in mind
2. Dynamism is so important, flat shapes tend to make things feel robotic so when drawing making the shape stretch or seem like it's got curved edges greatly helps exaggerate shapes and gives them life
3. Alternate curves in limbs, exaggerating them as such gives a more robust and human look even in a stiff pose. This applies to any parts with multiple joints like arms, legs, fingers, as well as feet.
4. Most importantly as much as it feels like taking bitter medicine to hear as advice PLEASE take initiative to find a character art course of some sort it helps a TON.
Finally I think I will try my best to post here more, I have a few ideas cooking but I won't promise anything anytime too terribly soon as life has me in its jaws at the moment. o7 Take care out there, navigate safe.

Out of curiosity, have you ever broken something you didn't expect to while making your videos?
Absolutely! Things I’ve broken or damaged unexpectedly while making videos include:
- archery targets (eventually they just sort of fall apart)
- 2 tripods (both impaled by arrows)
- several microphones (usually by dropping them)
- several bowstrings
- 2 bows (delamination through wear and tear)
- a whole bunch of arrows
- my left thumb
- my right heel
- my right shoulder
- a watermelon (I split one in two by punching it that wa fully not expecting, which led to a short series of videos where I went through a LOT of watermelons)
- several screen protectors (again, mostly dropping)
And, on one memorable instance:
- a whole-ass phone

Whatever you do, don’t do this with a bow!
(Bows are not firearms, and can’t be ‘fired’, but you absolutely should not dry-fire one)

To everyone who worries about my toes in my sword videos, here’s the explanation.
(Obviously this is highly specific to me personally. I train a lot of barefoot movement, and I have become very comfortable and confident in my balance and foot placement. And if I was fighting other people, I obviously would want some boots on!)

Seriously Ran'jit was so ass
He coulda been so good, if he wasn't a repeat of "repeatable unwinnable fights" we had just dealt with in Stormblood. Also he should have been Thancred's kill. All the narrative elements are there and the player is controlling Thancred at the time. Ran'jit contributes nothing to story post-Trolley and there's no reason WoL should suddenly be able to defeat him now when Thancred had the Last Special Cartridge. Also it left the Jongleurs in the dust when they could have been the Eulmore bossfight. I will die on this hill, it's a narrative foul in ShB's otherwise solid story, and smells of exec meddling given the as-written setup.
"but the lodestone side story-" a text published outside of the game, half a decade after the game release, doesn't change the ingame experience, and this experience is what an average, non-ultranerd player will always get
