What do draculas say when another dracula gets married?
Coagulations
I think I /am/ gonna delete on the 17th. I really need a tech detox in general and the timing just happens to work out
Itâs beautiful seeing culture celebrated and not suppressed as Jason Momoa, family and friends perform the haka on the Aquaman red carpet.
This made me yell and cry with joy
This I s so cool
Thereâs a lady!! And a kid!! This is so great!!!!!
Alternative to the tired old wizard-with-a-sugar-daddy interpretation of the patron/warlock relationship in Dungeons & Dragons:
Clueless boss and long-suffering employee, whose powers are basically the magical equivalent of pilfering office supplies for personal use
Scheming master and duplicitous apprentice who are totally open about their loathing for each other and are keen to see who betrays whom first
Bureaucratic devil and soul-peddling diabolist with a contract a mile long, each honestly believing theyâre getting the better of the other
Glowering quartermaster and loose-cannon operative, whose record for getting results just barely justifies the expense of employing them
Indifferent parent who pays their estranged offspringâs allowance like clockwork but otherwise prefers to deal with them as little as possible
Vast, slumbering god-monster and amoral parabiologist who knows which spots to poke with a stick to provoke particular autonomic responses
Have I told yâall about my husbandâs Fork Theory? If I did already, pretend I didnât, Iâm an old.
So the Spoon Theory is a fundamental metaphor used often in the chronic pain/chronic illness communities to explain to non-spoonies why life is harder for them. Itâs super useful and we use that all the time. But it has a corollary. You know the phrase, âStick a fork in me, Iâm done,â right? Well, Fork Theory is that one has a Fork Limit, that is, you can probably cope okay with one fork stuck in you, maybe two or three, but at some point you will lose your shit if one more fork happens. A fork could range from being hungry or having to pee to getting a new bill or a new diagnosis of illness. There are lots of different sizes of forks, and volume vs. quantity means that the fork limit is not absolute. I might be able to deal with 20 tiny little escargot fork annoyances, such as a hangnail or slightly suboptimal pants, but not even one âyou poked my trigger on purpose because you think itâs fun to see me melt downâ pitchfork.
This is super relevant for neurodivergent folk. Like, you might be able to deal with your feet being cold or a tag, but not both. Hubby describes the situation as âIt may seem weird that I just get up and leave the conversation to go to the bathroom, but you just dumped a new financial burden on me and I already had to pee, and going to the bathroom is the fork I can get rid of the fastest.â

SHE HAS FUR ALL OVERâŠ. WE REALLY ARE ALL FURRIES
Thought I should continue this saga because it is ICONIC
Bonus:
Elf androgyny and dwarf androgyny and orc androgyny are like three very different forms of androgyny and defiance of the binary and theyâre all so good
Elf: everyoneâs pretty, but has no ass.
Dwarf: everyoneâs hairy, but has no ass.
Orc: everyoneâs SHREDDED and can crack walnuts between their cheeks.
Dwarves have more cake than a bakery how DARE you
The creators of the original Fallout have spent two years on a new first-person RPG, and it looks great.
From the article:
Your protagonist isnât voiced
Thereâs a special class of âscience weaponsâ that will have special, ridiculous effects, like a shrink ray
Thereâs a full character creator even though itâs first-person only (youâll see your character in the inventory, and if you leave the game idling long)
Your companions donât have separate inventories. Taking companions with you just gives you more inventory space to work with yourself
If companions really dislike the decisions you make, theyâll leave and go back to the ship. You can persuade them to see things your way
No romancing companions. They considered it, but decided against it.
Companions each have a special attack (one named Felix does a double drop kick) but you can also equip them with whatever weapons you want
Hacking and lockpicking donât have minigames, and are simply based on your attributes
There are six skills (strength, intelligence etc.) and for every 20 points you put into one (up until 100) youâll gain a new perk
As in the creatorsâ past games, you can play as a âdumbâ character with stupid dialogue options. Your companions react appropriately.
Theyâre still not sure if it will be possible to play through the game completely pacifist (but youâll almost definitely have to at least kill some robots)
Robots arenât sentient, but your shipâs AI seems to have a strange degree of personality
Tim Cain wants you to know there are a lot of drugs, but heâs not going to pressure you to take them
Doesnât sound demonic, which is a nice change of pace from the typical 8x slowed down songs.
I just discovered tweetdeck.twitter.com and holy shit this is literally what I was gonna try to build for tumblr before the announcement happened
Quick tip for those who post art in Twitter:
You can force Twitter to post the ârawâ quality of your pics by adding one (1) pixel of transparency in the image.
Twitter uses some algorithm to compress images into .jpg, but it cannot do that if thereâs transparency involved in the image, forcing it to be .png in its full quality. Literally one singular pixel ANYWHERE counts for this, it can be on a corner if you donât want it to be bothersome.
Figured some folks might be interested in this, considering Tumblr no longer supports the _raw trick.
For the sake of example instead of hearsay, Iâve posted a comparison in my Twitter here, but will also explain here. All images are 2000x2000px versions of my logo you can see on the top left of this post:
Hereâs the original image without a background, in its original form. Notice the .png on the filename title.
Hereâs the image with a white background. You can see Twitter turned it into a .jpg and youcan see compression artifacts surrounding it.
Hereâs the image with a white background, but one pixel edged off. Notice the .png back on the filename and the retaining of quality from the first picture compared to the compression from the second.
All it took was a simple thing:
Nothing else, nothing more. It retains the original quality as you posted it, isnât very bothersome and can be easily filled up if someone finds it.
Since Tumblr removed the _raw image trick from availability, this is a good way to share high quality, high resolution pictures again with the world.
Cheers!
Once more but with feeling of exodus
I think I might actually jump ship on the 17th. I have almost all my mutuals on other sites/apps and very little original content. Iâm gonna go through and archive what I still want this weekend and make my decision then.
