Doing this shoot with these two adorables was so much fun. I got to channel all my shippy fangirlisms into creating some sweet and stuff. @ardellacosplay & @echoing-artemis

We both put our all into building an appropriate atmosphere for the set to honour the depth of Yuuri's character. With so much of his existence being affected by his uncertainty and lack of self confidence, I really wanted to focus on his struggle and his pain. There's around 30 images I want to release in this set as @behindinfinity brought his character to life in a way I did not expect and I'm in love the whole set. For the editing of the inside shots I wanted a cinematic colour grade but with still a strong focus on dramatic lighting while giving the mood that Yuuri feels isolated. Used 2 strobes and the ambient light to get a dramatic set. Epic assists by @merkymerx @silence @kcoz @knrai @itspiratekel

Sequence 1-4, Face the feels time, I don't need to go into details about the feels around the amazing experience of working with @jin.behindinfinity & @merkymerx as I've done it in detail over at my insta so I'm super excited to be looking at these images again.

「Ever since I was small, I have always seen strange things」 「Frightened by things that no one else can see I behave strangely」 「I am creepy, disliked, and always alone」 The darker side of Natsume Yuujinchou and Natsume's past especially is rarely touched on in the world of cosplay. I've been leaning more towards storytelling this past 12 months and this is an area of the story that really appeals to me. Natsume didn't always have Madara (he protec but he also attac). He also went between homes and no one wanted him, or wanted him for long. We had an awesome flashback last season that explored how he came to be with the Fujiwara's and he was especially heartwarming. I have more photos from the set exploring this time in the series, so many feels! Thanks for Lisa for helping out on a rainy day and credit to Cassi for the translations. I love this series so much and even though I wasn’t well I made sure to take the chance to shoot it again. My friend only gets to visit Australia once a year or every other year. We were so excited to get some more Natsume shots. Series - Natsume Yuujinchou

Time might separate us some day. But, even still, until then, let's stay together -Hotaru Takegawa This shrine in Japan is a key location in the series, so.... how do you tackle the logistics of shooting a scene where the location is at an island in Japan that's 1000km from Tokyo, the photographer lives in Australia, one cosplayer lives 530km from the photographer and the other cosplayer lives in Tokyo? I highly recommend you visit this shrine if you are ever in Kyushu as unlike almost every shrine and temple in Japan, there are no stalls, no tourists and almost no people. Visiting a place like this when there no one to dodge and no noise is just magical. This is a beautiful story, I can't recommend it enough for you to read the manga/watch the anime, it's written by the same author who wrote "Natsume Yuujinchou".
