My fibro & adhd brain fog to my much worse, much more severe COVID-19 brain fog.
Trying to differentiate whether or not my symptoms are just a fibro flare or a deadly virus during 2 pandemics and flu season like:
My body to the plans I made when I’ve been overdoing it...
Me trying to advocate for myself via email.
Me when my pain level is a 5/10.
Is it a flare or the flu?: An autobiography.
When a flare gets in the way of my social life
When you get a random spike of intense pain that fades away after a few seconds
Insomnia
*rolls over for the 87th time*
*looks at the clock*
Typical day as a patient
*Requests meds from doctor*
*Doctor sends in meds*
*Go pick up meds from pharmacy*
*Wrong meds*
*Ask pharmacy to send in correction to doctor*
*Pharmacy neglects to send in correction to doctor*
*Call doctor about correcting meds*
*Doctor fixes med request and sends to pharmacy*
*Pharmacy is out of the meds*
“What’s your level of pain today?”
Me:
When the barista asks how I’m doing.
Typical conversations between my doctor and me:
“Have you lost weight? You look great!”
It’s just my debilitating illness making me not be able to eat or sleep, but THAAAAAAANKS GUUUURLLLLL.
When your coworker says you’re “lucky” for getting to leave work early for a doctor’s appointment...
