When you're a kid, life feels like a carousel ride. And not just any carousel ride you’d find stashed in the mall, but the kind of carousel you see at the fair or an amusement park with their rainbow colored horses and carriages with the music playing softly in your ear and the wind blowing through your hair as they take you higher and higher into the sky until you believe you can fly. It isn't until you become an adult and revisit your carousel that you realize it's nothing but painted over rusted metal with a skipping soundtrack and squeaking gears.
