What is the weirdest encounter while mending people in the field?
Brie let out a chuckle. “I have a good one for that,” she replied. “I was working with Lucas Elysian at the time and we were searching for a missing person. Well, we ended up in this Hylek camp and there was an attack and one of the Hylek got really hurt. So...I had to try and heal him. That was easily the weirdest assignment I’ve had. I mean, I’d healed sylvari a little but this was entirely different. As weird as it was, it was also rather sad because I wasnt able to save him. However, it is not something I will likely ever forget.”
What do you look for in a potential mate? What of their physical characteristics or their personality?
Brie’s generally attracted to men who are also military or former soldiers. Physical characteristics dont matter too much to her, but she likes someone who takes care of themselves and is active. She likes being able to do active things with her partner; sparring, running, etc. Generally, she is attracted to men who are a bit more...serious? Stern and more on the reserved side but she appreciates it when they are direct and assertive with their actions and words. She’s also very attracted to men who hold some kind of position of leadership and is often attracted to men who are older than her, sometimes by a fairly significant age gap.

“Well, my mother is crazy,” Brie replied with a small eye roll. “Our relationship’s always been a bit...tense. We argue a lot. Sometimes it’s worse than others. I have a lot of bad memories...she’s....well, frankly, she embarrasses me a lot. But some of the nicer memories and times where she didnt act as over to top, are us cooking together. My dad on the other hand, well. I’m his favorite and he and I both know it. We have always been close and appreciated each other’s sense of humor. I can’t say I have any bad memories involving him...lots of happy ones, though.” 31. Do they drink? What are they like drunk? What are they like hungover? “Well, I drink but not usually enough to get drunk. I..dont like feeling out of control like that. If i do drink a bit too much, I just loosen up a little and get a bit more giggly. I think I’ve only had one or two hangovers and I just got an awful headache. As far as other people being drunk, it depends. If it’s a friend, i’ll sometimes tease them but mostly just watch out for them and make sure they stay safe. I dont usually like to be around drunk people that I dont know, it makes me a bit uncomfortable.” 39. Do they like letters? Or prefer emails/messaging?
She chuckled. “I like letters from the right recipient. My mother has a habit of sending me a lot of letters and asking when I’ll come home and that sort of thing and it gets to be a bit much. But I always look forward to letters from my brothers or my father.”

“I’ve always admired people who hold themselves with confidence and exude it...I’m always so...unsure about everything. Anxious...” Brie sighed and furrowed her brow. “As far as talents go...I wish I could draw or paint. I think it’d be relaxing but i’m rather horrible at it. I can play the piano a little and have a decent singing voice but I dont like people to listen to me..”

“Gosh, I havent thought about that in a long time...” Brie started and let out a laugh. “Um...well, I did finish school. Oddly enough, I was a bit more...social when I was younger. Before Marcus died.” She sighed and furrowed her brow. “I was good at most subjects, but especially math. I liked school alright but I often would rather have been outside. Especially when i was really young, all I wanted to do was be outside running around. I think I liked pretty much all subjects...I always enjoyed learning.” (As far as level of education, I’d say she’s college educated from her medical training. I consider her to be about at the level of a nurse as far as medical abilities go)

“Well, I’m good at what I do. I’m a field medic for the Vigil. I’ve been a soldier of some kind for a long time now. I’m also a pretty good singer but I dont really let anyone listen to me. As far as hobbies go, aside from sparring and doing physical things to stay in shape, I like to read and be outside.”

“I grew up in a huge family,” Brie said with a soft chuckle. “I’m the third born and the oldest girl. As much as my mother tried, I wanted nothing to do with girly stuff and was constantly following my brothers around and their friends. Overall, it was a happy childhood. One of my favorite memories is when Marcus taught me how to use a sword and later on, a pistol. Bad memories..? Well...” she sighed and chuckled again. “My family is large, okay. And we are pretty much always all together. All of us. My father has eight siblings and all but one have kids so...imagine for a minute. Most of them are fine but it’s just overwhelming and a lot. My mother on the other hand, is rather embarrassing and I have countless bad memories of her doing or saying something in public to make me or someone else uncomfortable...”

Titus let out a pained grunt as she unwrapped the kerchief he’d hastily wrapped around his arm. “Aye, well…” His voice was hoarse with discomfort and he didn’t manage more volume than a gruff murmur. “That’s th’ business, isn’ it. –Yer able te sew it up, right?” His umber eyes panned up from the laceration, which spanned a couple inches on his outer arm, to the blonde woman.
“Well, you happen to be in luck, Mr. Ronvarus,” Brie said with a smile as she looked up at the man. “I happen to be kind of good at this sort of thing. Try and hold still. What happened, anyway?”
He tried to keep as still as possible considering the sharp stings that came with every movement. “Agh – i’s a little embarrassin’…” His uninjured arm came up to run a hand through his hair, which caused a low slide of metal against metal as his pauldron and arm guard ran over each other. “Someone heard I’d accept any dignified request fer a duel ‘r spar. Caught off guard an’,” His hand dropped from his head to motion at the gash. “I’m oute practice. Life’s been gettin’ cushier.” The hulking man let out a boisterous chuckle at his own predicament.
Brie snorted a bit, her eyes remaining on the lacerated skin on his arm as she meticulously started to stitch it up. “Reminds me of my brothers but also, it sounds like you need to practice.” The petite blonde grinned up at him. “I’m actually pretty good at sparring, believe it or not.”

Ten Details:
⚫ Brie suffers from anxiety and has been prone to having panic attacks.This has been happening since she was a child but has gotten worse over time.
⚫ Losing her brother, Marcus changed her forever. Brie went into a state of depression and closed herself up. Marcus was her best friend and taught her how to shoot and use a sword. She still misses him but realizes that if not for his death, she wouldnt be where she is now. After losing Marcus, she became very determined to help other people and to honor her brother. She enlisted in the Vanguard (much to the protests of her parents) and then later in the Vigil. She thinks of him daily.
⚫ Brie is not very skilled with magic and doesnt know very much. She would like to try and learn more. So far she can only do a little bit of shadow magic.
⚫ She comes from a HUGE family. She has two younger sisters and two older brothers (three when Marcus was alive). Her father is one of eight brothers and sisters, all of which have children except for one. A majority of the family is always together. Family gatherings are large and loud (basically, picture My Big Fat Greek Wedding).
⚫ You wouldnt know it, because she shows it to few people, but Brie is a pretty good singer and can play the piano. She’s very shy about it and doesnt let anyone hear her, though!
⚫ Brie suffers PTSD from two separate events. The first was when she narrowly avoided getting sexually assaulted. The second event was when she was assisting Lucas Elysian and was badly burnt. She has dreams revolving around both things on a semi-frequent basis.
⚫ She never intended to fall in love or be in a relationship. Brie never wanted to cause anyone pain if something were to happen to her while doing her duty.
⚫ She has reservations about getting married and having children. Her mother has always been very pushy about Brie and her sisters marrying well.
⚫ Brie was very sheltered growing up and can at times be rather naive and think too well of people’s intentions. Her parents (mother especially) are rather overprotective and overbearing. Brie gets weekly letters from her mother demanding when she’s going to come home and resign from the Vigil.
