Today marks the 119th anniversary of the publication of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz!

When was the first time you read this wonderful book? I have a confession: I only read it for the first time after watching Emerald City, I don’t know why it took me so long to read it. I only wished I read it sooner! I’m grateful to Emerald City and Mod Owl for getting me interested.

If you haven’t read the original novels, I hope you do someday! They’re absolutely delightful and it’s wonderful to see how the many adaptations of the novels incorporate the beloved characters and stories.
