John Cena as Nate Sterling in The Independent (2022)

Still working my way through Cena's filmography. The Independent (2022) was a good movie. I was not expecting Cena to ever be in a political thriller, he doesn't get a ton of screen time but his character is a main focus of the film. Cena plays Nate Sterling, a former Olympian who is running for President. m not usually drawn to movies like these but I enjoyed it.

It was a rough night mentally, the anxiety was really getting to me but this movie was a good way to try to unwind for a couple of hours.

The Bubble caught me completely by surprise. John Cena was hardly in it, he played the stunt coordinator who appears virtually via a tablet on a stick about an hour or so into the film. I originally only sought out this movie for Cena because of The Cena'c Route but I was pleased to see Doctor Who's very own Amy Pond, Karen Gillan was a lead! This is an all star cast, seriously just look at it. I thought it was a fun film, and an interesting satire on the film industry. I would be part of the target audience for the fictional films that are being made in The Bubble, Cliff Beasts, too, by the way.

I'm really into theme songs and the end theme for The Bubble rocks.

it's Saturday night and we getting wild watching John Cena'a film roles.

I'm working my way through John Cena's films when I'm not hyper-fixating on Toei's Spider-Man. I've decided to call this little project where I get to fully experience Cena's cinematic roles in chronological order before I meet him. I've been affectionately terming it The Cena'c Route.

I'm on movie number 25 of 40. It's Vacation Friends from 2021. This is a re-watch as I quite recently watched this. It's such a wild and funny movie. I love that Ron has the ability to tell when a bird is about to shit. I think that's so funny. It's my favorite reoccurring bit in this film.

What I would give to time-travel to one of the Toei Manga Matsuri screenings in the 70s. Specifically the Toei Manga Matsuri film festival from July 22, 1978. Would love to be a kid back then and watch all the other kids go nuts for Spider-Man along with me. Also I guess Message From Space: Galactic Wars had something that year too.

Also lets talk about how cool some of the Machine Bem are. I really like Sea-Devil because he has bright colors and shoots missiles from his mouth.

Spider-Man Episode 8: A Very Mysterious Folktale- The Cursed Cat Mound

I started watching this show and every episode brings new joy and surprises. I was not expecting a cat-centric episode but I loved it. I'm so glad I started watching this show. The Machine Bem are usually interesting. I didn't love the Cat Demon design, I think Kamen Rider's Kaijin spoiled me. It is great fun to hear the theme song, see Takuya transform, and I am obsessed with the phrase, "Change Leopardon!"

Turns out a cheap capture card was all I needed to get up to snuff to stream from any media player I have through discord. Unfortunately I have yet to figure out how I can also talk while doing so. I may have a work around but I’m not entirely sure. For now I’m unwinding the only way I know how currently which is by watching a ton of Supaidaman!

I have a bootleg of this series and I just started watching it about an hour or so ago and I am absolutely obsessed with the introduction theme song. The show is a lot of fun so far too. You can check out Toei's Spider-man here. Much like Kamen Rider Ichigo I am finding the theme song very catchy. It's a damn shame, nothing will ever really come of this show since Disney is now the owner of the character.

Still can't get over how mind blown I was during episode 93, The 8 Kamen Riders when all them Shocker Riders showed up. I was already delirious from being up so late and I could NOT believe my eyes when these butt heads showed up.

Back to the Original Kamen Rider! Now it's time for the fight everyone has been waiting for! Kamen Rider 1 VS Shocker Rider! Yes I know they were mostly on their bikes and doing flips but back in the 70s this was awesome and it still is!!

I remember the other night I was so sleep deprived but rushing to finish Kamen Rider that when the Shocker Riders appeared I thought I was delirious and seeing things but nope there's six of these idiots with different colored scarves and they are REAL.

I've been a little depressed today. I bought an external Blu-ray drive to help me do screen caps for blogs and it didn't work. I purchased and downloaded software to use with the drive but the drive is just too finicky. Maybe it's user-error but I don't know. When I have problems I can't solve I get really frustrated and disheartened and it was a long and restless night and now has been an extremely tiring day. I hope to find a work around to screen cap soon because I love being able to do that and post on here and other places.

I'm hoping a capture card and my Blur-ray player rather than an external drive can achieve what I want to do but who knows at this point.

I've also been thinking about being more present in my day to day so I've been limiting my time on X and other socials. I still use Letterboxd and this site often at the moment. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a decent day because I am struggling.
