Want the PC Version of FFXVI? Too Bad! Yoshi-P Says, Just Buy a PS5!

Yoshi-P was joking around with his FFXIV fans during the FFXIV New Year mahjong tournament livestream, but the media (both Japanese and Western) took his words out of context and made it sound like he was making some sort of official statement. Text alone does not convey tone accurately, so I've provided subtitles (with my own translation) with the video clip to clear things up.

The first English fan translations on Twitter completely disregarded Yoshi-P's tone and made many FF fans believe this was a formal statement, because the fan translators paraphrased and/or mistranslated what he said.

(Note: I'm not all that familiar with Yoshi-P as a person, since I haven't played FFXIV or watched his FFXIV livestreams. But it's VERY obvious that he's joking here.)

Honestly, Yoshi-P's joke was not at all newsworthy as he obviously cannot say anything about the PC version yet due to the PS5 exclusivity deal. However, one thing is for sure, Yoshi-P needs strong sales for the PS5 version. It really does sound like they went all out for XVI!

So, if you love FF, please buy FFXVI, if you can!
