StackTactics: First public demo build!
Finally, I have something that can be published as an early demo. StackTactics are now on Itch!
StackTactics: Menu update
So, my game finally has a main menu (that's something to put off until your game loop is ready)! Also, several save slots! No way to delete them yet outside of manually deleting files, but I'll fix that eventually.
Another Stacktactics update
So, I have zero idea how, but until now, my game had no Save/Load, so now I fixed that oversight. It's only a single slot currently, but hopefully I didn't mess up something invisibly
Semi-Huge Feature
Okay, I have officially coded in adding units in the middle of a battle
I believe that actually makes it fully coded core gameplay loop now, and now I'll have to code sfx, vfx and make content
I just googled "zoning code pf2e". I'm so used to looking up stuff for pathfinder second edition I just auto-amended it.
i bet it gave you a link to AoN that was relevant somehow
Skipped a few days, but I'm back at it! Scaletober day 10: magitech engineer
Ooops forgor I didn't actually post the thing
Scaletober Day 5: potion lizard
Late home today, so a quick one.
Scaletober Day 4(not a typo this time): Lizardfolk farmer
For Scaletober Day 3 I made a Vesk soldier from Starfinder
Almost forgot about it, but still, here's Sacletober Day 2: pumpkin lizard
Okay, It probably already is a thing I'm not aware of, BUT! I'm trying to draw a lizard every day and call it Scaletober.
Day 1: Copper wyvern
"I asked ChatGPT" you did silicon valley divination is what you did. Look at it, it's hallucinating worse than the tea leaves.
That sounds like the opposite of divination actually. In divination what you're doing is looking at bullshit and use your mind to link the bullshit to what it could mean. The silicon valley anti-divination has you turn off your brain to turn a coherent question into bullshit.
Dumb idea: two warring kingdoms had their young heirs to the throne kidnapped by a dragon and now the two princes try to figure a way to escape while trying to deny being gay for each other. The dragon did that because he wants to impress a lady dragon with the size of his hoard and pillaging lands that are already pillaged is deeply unprofitable so he needs the kingdoms to stop fighting
The amount of safety features incorporated into modern cars is unreal. I've seen crashes where the car flipped over and the occupant only had minor injuries. My dad was t-boned by someone speeding off the highway and walked away with a broken arm. The car was completely smashed except for the passenger compartment, which was curtained on all sides with airbags. That one manufacturer has decided they are exempt from implementing all these advancements disgusting and terrifying
When I was going through driver's ed I was taught that the steering column would stab through your chest if you crashed head on and that was just the way it was. We do not want to go back, not even a little
The point of car safety features is that the car is supposed to die in an accident so you don't have to. Your car should be a pile of smoking rubble after an accident, and you should be fine.
So, after a looong break i went back to Stack tactics and now units can be upgraded into other units! I think the only core mechanic of the game remaining is battle reinforcements, and then i'll only need to add some content and interface improvements to get a presentable demo.
Haven't been on here for a while, here's a few NPCs I made for my campaign
Made a gnoll blacksmith and Forge Paladin. I intend to make them units for StackTactics, but I'm stuck playing heavily modded Minecraft.
