john boyega, oscar isaac, and kelly marie tran endured years of racist abuse and harassment (mostly) from r*ylos. they were sidelined from a film series in which they were originally promised much larger roles. finn was advertised as part of the new generation of jedi in the marketing for tfa, a film which also set up finn, rey, and poe as the new trio. kelly marie tran had to delete all of her social media, and oscar has repeatedly stated that, knowing what he knows now, he would have asked for poe to be killed off rather than have himself and the character treated the way he was. so if john wants to “lash out~” or whatever, he has every right. disney doesn’t own him, oscar, or kelly, and if any or all of them want to say “fuck disney and fuck the people who harassed us”, more power to them.

We even stood out in the cold in NYC outside of Build to give her scrapbooks, fan art, and letters about Rose and how much we love Kelly. REYLOS did this.

But you know what antis did for KMT? Y’all were the ones going off about how her character was pulling Finn away from Rey, how finnrose was “anti black”. How “abusive” Rose was to Finn and how unnecessary her character was

I am not even part of the fandom and I remember distinctively how antis would be horribly racist to reylo shippers of color (knowing they were non white, using racial slurs, “taking their black card away”, comparing them to uncle toms and traitor of their race), how many were celebrating what happened to the Rose’s actor and how much people were making it seem as if a black man dating an asian woman was just the most racist thing in the world, which didn’t even make any sense when you were also pushing the shit to have him shipped with Rey.
