And you are allowed to talk about your disability .

Talking about being disabled is not bad .

It does not mean you are trying to get attention .

it does not mean you are trying to get pity .

it does not mean that you are "faking" it .

it does not mean that your disability is " all you ever talk about " .

You can talk about being disabled however often or infrequently you want to .

You can talk about it positively , negatively , or completely neutrally .

You can share however much or little information about your disability with others as you want to .

You can choose who you share information about your disability with , and who you do not share information with .

It is your disability . It is about you .

You get to make your own choices .
