One of the many reasons to hurl himself into the freezing north was that he can't bear to look at what was once there. It's cruel, almost, like giving a bird gift of flight just to shear its wings, leave it with the taste freedom it'll never get back—but fair punishment for him, he supposes.

Snows, rocks, clouds... It's almost enough to convince Roy that his life has been and always been grey and dull. But some days, some solemn (blissful) days, from the desolation and exhaustion, he would hallucinate of colors... and him.
