Things we (me) are forgetting about Six of crows, not in order:

• There were rumours that Wylan was caught in an affair with his tutor

• Inej killed rinca moten (the desert lizard) that Matthias claimed he never seen being defeated before. She did it in few seconds too

• Jesper and Nina had chloropellets that they used to put other prisoners to sleep stitched under their skin. And had to cut them out to use them

• Matthias had a buzzcut for whole two books and half; also, half of SoC he had brown hair and brown eyes tailored

• Kaz had lockpicks and bloody explosives swallowed for the entirety of heist, and had to regurgitate them every other hour

• When Nina was young, she wanted to go to Fjerda as an avenging warrior or a spy (foreshadowing, I guess)

• Inej used Kaz's gloves to climb in the incenerator scene

• After learning Inej's real name, Kaz asked if that's what she preferred to be called

•Kaz's pov has shown that he probably had fracture or other injury from when he jumped while carrying Inej in his arms, and it was never mentioned him getting any medical attention. My boy been running this heist like this, AND without his cane for hours

• They blew up the nation's holy magical tree (somehow I keep forgetting this part)

• Matthias gave Kaz an agressive CPR until Nina took over. So his heart probably stopped during heist? (Somebody just give him a vacation or something)

•Nina flirts/ed with Kaz (as he had mentioned himself, she just loves flirting with everybody and everything)

•Inej seems to be the ONLY one in the Dregs without their tattoo

•Matthias labeled Inej as a demon in his head as well, not only Kaz

•Matthias' middle name is Benedik. I think only his and Jesper's second names were revealed (very likely that they are the only ones who have them)

•Kaz gave Matthias the "you wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me" talk (like, literally)

•“You can’t spend his money if you’re dead.”

“I’ll acquire expensive habits in the afterlife.”

•Inej thought that Kaz "at least owes me his best imitation of a human being".

•Wylan was standing up to Kaz several times, even at times when others wouldn't (like right after the Oomen incident)

•Matthias has the coolest nicknames for everybody in general

•Kaz kinda thinks more of Inej than others do? Has more faith in her and how strong she is, if you will

•Kaz went back for the Black Tips after Inej was injured and "there was enough blood to paint a barn red" (reminder that he still has a fracture after running with her in his hands and jumping off great heightswhile carrying her)

•Tolya was mentioned in SoC ("There’s a Heartrender at the Little Palace who can recite epic poetry for hours. Then you’d wish you had died.”)

•Matthias thanked Inej personally for being the reason they made it out of the harbor alive (that's right, everybody must respect Inej)

•Kaz wants reassurance that Inej believes in him once in a while

•Everybody feels kinda good about sharing secrets with Kaz cuz he's Dirtyhands and he wouldn't judge anything

•Kaz and Inej have a series of silent signals?

•Kaz said "You don't want a look at what's inside my head, Nina dear" while wearing fucking dumb goggles

•Inej is the only sacred thing in Kaz's life, and she made him feel like a boy still believing in existence of magic

The Council of Tides(mysterious group of Tidemakers who control the water surrounding Ketterdam, NO ONE knows who they are) who's Last public appearance was 25 years ago when the merchant council wanted to destroy one of their Tower to build a new shipyard. They came, destroyed the Stadhall ( the city hall where all the merche meets happens, where ambassadors are greeted) and then the merche council was like " we don't need a new shipyard", who did not appear at the auction of Kuwei , SIX OF THEM came to threaten Kaz, Kaz threatens they instead, they issue a warning, and then leave with their tails tucked between their legs. THEY ARE FEARED BY THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE WORLD AND KAZ TERRIFIES THEM

WHAT HAPPENED TO COUNTESS MARIA OF SALONA?

Maria Fadrique was born around 1370, the daughter of the last Catalan Count of Salona, Don Louis Fadrique, and his Greek wife, Princess Helena Fadrique, also known as Helena Kantakouzene or The Despina, Helena Asenina.

Not much information about her early childhood has been preserved. We do know that she grew up as an only child to the noble couple and was likely prepared and claimed as the only heir to the County of Salona.

In 1382, at the age of 12, she lost her father and became the Countess of Salona in her own right. However, due to her age, she was deemed too young to manage the county, so her mother, the Dowager Countess Helena Fadrique, took charge as regent. That same year, she was betrothed to Bernat Hug, a son of Felip Dalmau, but the betrothal was annulled.

Despite reaching the age of maturity in 1386, at 16, an age when she was now deemed fully capable of managing the County of Salona, her mother remained in power over all state affairs, and Maria had yet to step a toe into the world of politics. That same year, her mother betrothed her to a son of the Serbian Emperor Symeon Uros for political reasons, but this betrothal, like the first one was annulled. That same year, she was betrothed to an alienated associate of the King of Aragon, but the wedding never took place.

From the years of 1388-1391, Helena refused to repay damages to a Venetian citizen who suffered the loss of property aboard a ship from Ancona by her late husband, Don Luis Fadrique, in 1380. This made her mother very unpopular with Venice.

Her mother was quite hated by the people, who most likely would have preferred Maria to take charge over state affairs, but this never happened. Even at the age of 20, Maria had not taken charge over state affairs. This decision to keep the Dowager Countess in charge would eventually cause their deaths.

Though Necdet Sakaoğlu in his work “Bu Mülkün Kadın Sultanları” claims she was betrothed to Manuel II in 1393, I have not seen another source to confirm this claim.

In this same work, Sakaoğlu tells the story of the capture of Maria and her mother in late 1393 or early 1394. “Turkish soldiers captured the Frankish ship that was bringing Maria to Istanbul in the Dardanelles and captured its occupants.” - Necdet Sakaoğlu, “Bu Mülkün Kadın Sultanları,” pg 88.

Upon meeting the beautiful and affianced Countess, Sultan Yildirim Bayezid Han was smitten with her, and both the mother and the daughter were brought to his harem in Edirne, and Maria became his concubine.

That same year in 1394, Helena died, but it is not clear if it was due to an execution or other reasons. According to Laonikos Chalkokondyles, the Countess Helena disgraced herself and brought shame upon the people of "Delphi" by committing her authority into the hands of her lover, a priest called Strateus, for which reason the Archbishop of Larissa denounced her to the Basileus (Sultan) and gave him the pretext for taking over the County of Salona. - The Byzantine Family of Kantakouzenos (Cantacuzenus) Ca. 1100-1460: A Genealogical and Prosopographical, pg 161.

As for Maria, she was executed a year later in 1395 after Bayezid found her unworthy of him, and eventually lost interest in her. However, this reason seems highly improbable.

When Bayezid lost interest in her, he wouldn’t have executed her but instead discarded her or even sent her away to the old palace in Bursa. The reason for her execution must be something else, either she was executed for political reasons or she went against the rules or even committed a crime. Nonetheless, it is highly unlikely for a Sultan to execute a concubine because he lost interest in her.

Do you know how the ic could enforce no wing clipping? If a female has her wings clipped illegally then the males involved have theirs clipped as punishment. But they won’t do that because it means they lose soldiers for their army 🤷🏻‍♀️

For DFF watchers who are enjoyers of the "enemies to lovers trope"/ "our story started out as a lie i hate you but i love you"/ "wants to take revenge on you and kill you but falls in love with you" kinda relationship i recommend:

M/M stories: Captive Prince series (there are 3 books, Captive Prince, Prince's Gambit & Kings Rising) --- here specifically we have someone wanting to get revenge for his brother. It's just so good!

And Dark Rise (Dark Heir is the second book and it came out recently) - C.S Pacat is the author for all of them. They're such a good author and just a little freak tbh. Expect twists, fantasy and a lot of TW subjects. But i recommend it if you like dark, morally grey characters who you just can't help but kinda love. C.S. Pacat is very good at making the audience doubt themselves btw. They're one of my all-time fave authors.

*SPOILER: Arthie is actually half vampire half human, she was turned when she was sick by the doctor in her land... right as the colonizers killed and took it over. She was then taken in by Penn, an ancient vampire ruler of sorts who took her in as his own daughter. She ran away four years ago and met jin and made her own little kingdom but with this job she runs back into Penn ( he is her father figure she actually does love him) . Jin assumed his parents died in the fire but he discovers that they were taken by the Ram as the Ram were using experiments to turn vampires into war machines as they fabricated the entire events of the massacre of the Wolf of White Roaring ( in which a starved vampire went on a rampage and killed people). Felicity wanted to get back into the good graces of her mother by working with Arthie and then exposing Arthie and co to her mom so her mom would forgive her but the more time she spends with them the more she is realizing they might be her found family and that her mother really never loved her (she never betrays them but leaves her mother instead). Jin and Flick have been crushing on each other for years and finally kiss at the end of this one. Laith is from Arawiya and is hunting down the artifact his. sister was sent to retrieve by the king of Arawiya to protect the kingdom. His sister died on the boat ( he was ill at the time of the voyage). He and Arthie do kiss but he betrays Arthie as he realizes that Arthie's beloved weapon is the artifact and steals it from her while killing Penn. Arthie hunts him down and reveals that he actually killed his sister, he was sick during the voyage and got her sick and then she died. They both shoot each other and then the Wolf of White Roaring comes and takes Arthie ( I'm guessing it is Matteo as he tells her they are both alike and that they are both half vampire half human). Throughout the book Arthie is attracted to both Laith and Matteo. Arthie's little kingdom is burnt down and she has the option to rebuild it or to move on. (she hunts down laith and the book ends with her and laith both shooting each other and bleeding, and the Wolf of White Roaring coming to her).

I know this sounds insane, but...

Danika Fendyr is the 7th Asteri, and quite literally, lives on inside of Bryce's heart.

SPOILERS FOR CC AND ACOTAR!

I have long since believed that when a character in the SJM universe dies, they are reincarnated into the next world.

The most solid proof of this is the Bone Carver. When he first meets Feyre, he asks her multiple questions about her death; whether she saw a "portal" into a new world, and if she was given a new "body."

Then in HOSAB, the concept of going somewhere else when you die is brought up several times.

For example, Bryce questions it:

And even the River Queen suggests that there is a new world after death:

This quote cements it further; the way for one's soul to travel in and out of the world, is through birth and death.

And, let's not forget Cassian's famous quote about finding Nesta in the "next world," and the "next life."

Yet most importantly of all, in the ACOTAR world, we witness Starfall. It is said to be souls migrating.

This is further backed up by CC2, when we learn that the Asteri have been stealing 'secondlight' (a term for people's souls), which aligns with Rhys's observations that the stars in Starfall have been dwindling in number's each year.

But, for the purpose of this theory, the most important point is this; everyone's soul is literally a STAR.

It's for this reason, that I believe everyone possesses a star in their chest; it is their SOUL.

So, what is Bryce's power then?

We are lead to believe that Bryce's power - the Starborn power - is a star in her chest. That's true, but I don't think it's the full picture.

If our souls are stars, then I believe that Bryce's power is simply being able to wield the light of her own soul. Essentially, Bryce can pull her soul out of her own chest.

As further proof of this, recall that the very first time we see Bryce use her Starborn power, it was said that a "lock" clicked open in Bryce's HEART and SOUL.

And I mean, look at Bryce's chest on the cover of HOEAB:

Queen Theia.

With this in mind, and knowing that reincarnation is highly likely; Aidas mentioning that Bryce and Theia's light is the same "hue," and that "Bryce's light is Theia's light" - is very interesting.

Again, if souls are indeed stars, and the star that Bryce wields is the same as Theia's - this suggests that their souls are one and the same. That Bryce literally possesses Theia's soul; she is her reincarnation.

There's a bunch of evidence to point to this being correct, but the most pointed is the HOSAB scene in the gym; Bryce has a feeling that she is falling through "time and space;" but that she wanted to stay in "this body," and "this place."

But, as insane as this sounds - I don't believe that Theia is the only soul inside of Bryce's chest. I think someone else is there too...

Danika Fendyr.

I have always suspected that Danika was also someone powerful, reborn again. This suspicion grew stronger when I realised that the "ancient alphabet" that Danika used to tattoo Bryce, was actually wyrdmarks.

However, it was this parallel that cemented it for me;

At the end of HOEAB, Bryce looks towards the Bone Quarter and can see the 6 members of the Pack of Devils. However, the 7th member, Danika, is now gone.

What does this sound like...?

The Asteri. 6 remaining, the 7th gone.

The 7th Asteri.

I believe that Danika was a reincarnation of the 7th Asteri - Sirius.

In real life, Sirius was often known as the "Morning Star."

What does the name "Danika" mean...?

Morning Star.

Further, recall that Bryce and Danika each traded their own souls to the Under King to save each other. I truly believe that when Danika died, her soul, or a part of it, *literally* lives on within Bryce's chest/heart.

And... this is HOW THEY DID THE DROP.

In HOEAB, it is stated that the Drop is the act of plummeting into your own soul;

Who does Bryce find when she does the Drop, right into her own chest (despite it being... impossible?)

DANIKA!

And, right before Bryce ascends back up, Danika says "even if you can't see me, I will always be with you."

Bryce then says, "she had never been alone, she never would be - NOT WITH DANIKA WITHIN HER HEART" !!

Although you may argue that this was merely just a figure of speech - I don't think it is.

Because, recall that when the Prime of the Wolves witnessed Bryce racing around to defeat the demons at the end of HOEAB, he said that "one wolf remained" in the Old Square. Sabine assumes that he must be mistaken; that he is instead registering Danika's sword that Bryce is holding. But, the Prime of the Wolves looks at Bryce, and then points to his HEART AND CHEST, and then calls Bryce a "TRUE WOLF."

And again, in the next book, the Prime once again calls Bryce a wolf, whilst pointing to his chest/heart.

But he's not referring to Bryce,

HE'S REFERRING TO DANIKA!

And, who was Sirius the Asteri known as?

THE WOLF STAR.

This explains why, after the Drop, Bryce seemingly inherited the *identical* power of the Asteri overnight (something I had already made a theory about - the resemblance was just uncanny).

It's because of DANIKA'S SOUL! (And likely also the Horn and the Synth; but, both were orchestrated by, you guessed it, DANIKA!)

This is why Jesiba told Bryce that she won't find any traces of Danika in the Bone Quarter; because her soul is literally within Bryce.

And, if you still don't believe it, then recall when Bryce found out that Baxian was Danika's mate. To present proof, Baxian revealed the tattoo Danika gave him; again, of the infamous words "through love, all is possible."

Bryce then says this - and the wording here is very important - the tattoo was "one last clue from Danika, to LOOK WHERE SHE'D STAMPED THE PHRASE."

Where had Danika put the tattoo?

ON HIS HEART!

"Through love, all is possible."

Through LOVE - through BRYCE'S HEART - the impossible has been made possible.

I think it was a literal clue; the heart and soul - where love resides - is where Danika has always been.

Interestingly, Baxian also tells us that Danika was trying to find a way into a "new world."

And where has Bryce just recently landed? Prythian. A new world.

The impossible, made possible.

Sirius and Orion.

I also believe that Hunt is the reincarnation, or possesses the soul of Thurr; who was a powerful God (that's for another theory post...). It's why Bryce says, countless times, that Hunt and Thurr look *identical.*

I am inclined to think that in some way, Thurr and Sirius, or Thurr and the wolves were connected; perhaps the wolves protected Thurr, or were his loyal servants.

Because that's exactly how the mythology around the Orion and Sirius constellations goes; Sirius was immortalised in the sky to keep watch, and guard Orion.
