Bucky couldn’t feel his throat starting to close up. The very smell of the room was bringing back dark memories, memories that were far more vivid than the ones of his past life. He kept telling himself that this was different, that this woman wasn’t going to hurt him, but nonetheless his metal hand rattled against the edge of the table as his fingers began to tremble. “Uh, yeah,” he said. “Talking through it would help.” He took a deep breath and nodded. “Ready.”
Jean smiled kindly once more, as the sound of the metal hand told her the man was nervous; she didn’t need to tap into his thoughts to know it. ❝ If at any point you’d like me to stop, don’t hesitate and tell me. ❞ She hoped this wouldn’t be as bad at the first time she examined Logan, as he choked her for a few seconds but it felt like an eterinity. ❝ I’m going to use local anaesthetic first, you will feel the needle four times. This is so that when I extract the piece from your arm you won’t feel it. Also this will allow you to not feel the scalpel when I open the skin. The effect wil last up to three hours. ❞ She explained first, before reaching for the syringe.
