I think my problem with Romantasy is that so often they prioritise their romantic partner over like everything else?? Which gets a bit crazy?? Like bro Xaden I get you love her but my God you have bigger priorities at the end of Fourth Wing
I actually do think her going to their rebel base or whatever the fuck it is is a good move like objectively Xaden cannot leave her behind even if he wanted to, his bigass dragon loves her bigass dragon it just doesn't work
but also Xaden you were deliberately sent to an outpost to die, your adoptive brother is dead (devastating me fr I cried), now you can't go back because you effectively abandoned your post??? and there are like 100 kids back there who are now in more danger.
and your biggest priority is that Violet doesn't trust you anymore???
also Violet pleaseeee get a clue I loved her for most of that book but he 100% had a valid reason to not tell her what was going on, it's not just about trusting her with his life, it's the life of 107 kids he was lowkey tortured to save?? I'm sorry like 8 months of knowing each other isn't going to erase that??
hey guysss so unfortunately the rumors are true and im leaving the narrative. Buttt the good news is my absence will create such a gaping hole in your lives that it will become a sort of presence itself, and so in a way it will kind of be like i never left! But i am. Leaving just to be clear.
seeing posts saying Kaladin is an adultier adult (it was a joke) than Adolin is so funny as someone who has only read Way of Kings
Right now I am 100% choosing to ask for help from the guy who is functional enough to take control of an army in the middle of a battle without a hitch rather than the guy who created a surprising amount of his own problems
How to tell your nephew you are gonna be fuckin his widowed mom?
Step 1: Beat him senseless. Proving that you could kill him at any time, and hence you are not interested in killing him, because you love him, like a son.
Step 2: Order him, the King, to give you the most powerful position in the kingdom, so you can enforce the "ways" that you yourself came across through delusions and some very suspicious book.
Step 3: Post script the fact that you are gonna be fuckin his mom now onwards, and ask him to get used to it, on your way out.
if i see anyone making fun of kimi for those radio messages when his car spontaneously decided to kill itself when he was within 3 seconds of the lead and then got served a 5 second penalty while his car wouldn't steer, it's on sight. anyone would be agitated and panicky in that situation

George startles as someone grabs his arm before he can slip down the gap between motorhomes. He turns around and comes face to face with Lewis, who huddles George into the almost-alleyway and presses in close behind. George is about to complain, rather looking forward to slinking off somewhere to be alone, but something about the look in Lewis' eyes stops him. Lewis looks serious, contemplative, and it makes George pause.
"Can I talk to you for a minute?"
George nods. As much as he wants to be alone right now, he thinks he would always make time for Lewis. His soft spot for his former teammate could probably be seen from space.
"Are you doing anything tonight?" Lewis asks, eyes full of something that George can't really decipher.
"Nothing other than moping alone in my room," George replies, trying for humour. It falls flat when Lewis frowns instead of laughing. George shifts awkwardly, still unsure what Lewis wants from him and feeling more and more off balance by the second.
"Do you want to go for dinner?" Lewis' gaze is flicking all over George's face like he's looking for something.
George sighs, he really doesn't want to deal with one of Lewis' driver dinners right now, but he knows how it'll be interpreted by the world if he doesn't show face. He presses his finger tips between his brows and takes a steadying breath in.
"Who else is going?" He asks. He fails to sound enthusiastic, but honestly he wasn't really trying that hard.
Lewis blinks at him.
"I meant just us, George." There's a note of hesitancy in his voice now, the corner of his mouth turning down slightly.
George feels his cheeks heat. Lewis asking him to dinner is something George has fantsised about an embarrassing number of times, but he's certain that Lewis doesn't mean it in the way George so desperately wishes he does.
"I don't think I'd be very good company tonight, Lewis," George replies, a self deprecating smile on his lips so Lewis knows the refusal has nothing to do with him.
Lewis frowns, and as George turns to walk away again he grabs George's wrist, stopping him.
"Do you want me to beg? Is that what this is?"
George spins back to face Lewis, and really scrutinises his expression. There's a pleading there that George had obviously missed. His breath catches in his throat as his hopes start to soar dangerously against his wishes. Carefully, cautiously, he slides his arm back so that Lewis' grip slips from his wrist to his hand.
Lewis grips tighter.
"I don't know what this is, Lewis," George says, and it's barely more than a whisper. He's sure the naked want, the hope, is splattered across his face for Lewis to see in its enormous entirety.
Lewis squeezes his hand.
"Let me take you out, George." Lewis smiles softly, and George's heart pounds. "On a date, just so we're clear."
you should try crossdressing more. both because it's fun and because seeing the different ways clothes are manufactured by gender will give you 50 new reasons to be pissed off. become radicalized against misogyny by flannel quality
