Did you see that in the leaks of the new Zayne card that's supposedly dropping that MC's face is totally covered by the camera he's holding? Now fans are speculating that this might be a result of the MC haters making Infold cover her face just like that had them slowly remove her voice from the MS and other cards because they're jealous of her? Others have reported that they even want the game get rid of her entirely and have the game/home feature in 1st person so th LIs will be speaking "directly" at the player and not her. This is wild!

First of all, I'm gonna ask that we all take a big step back. I think the speculation on this has gotten way out of hand.

Let's look at the other Heartfelt Gifts cards, like Magnum Opus, Yearly Nostalgia, and Precious Moment. MC's face isn't fully shown in any of those. We see glimpses of her side profile or parts of her face, but nothing more than that.

In Yearly Nostalgia, her hand is blocking the majority of her face in the wide-shot. We see a little of her side profile in Magnum Opus, but Sylus' hand essentially blocks it then as well. We once again see her side profile in Precious Moment, but only for about three seconds or so.

Also, keep in mind that these cards are created months in advance. We have no idea when Framed Dusk was actually developed. It wasn't simply thrown together in the last two weeks. We were due for a Heartfelt Gift event—this was going to be part of 6.0 anyway.

Infold has always received criticism on MC from part of the fanbase. They didn't want her voice or her face in the game from the beginning, and yet, she's still very much there. I don't think that's going to change, given that it's remained consistent thus far. We've only ever had her voice in the MS and the Bond stories, if my memory serves correctly—that hasn't changed either.

I know this situation has been stressful and tense for all of us, but catastrophizing every little detail is not the solution. Framed Dusk is no different than the other Heartfelt Gift cards—the free ones are never of the same quality as the limited-time ones. Every free 5-star we have is noticeably different simply because they don't make Infold any money.

I don't think this is a topic that we need to be concerned about. A lot of the advertising for LADS focuses on character creation and customization—it's a big selling point for them. One card is not a good reference point for MC's involvement in the game.

Good evening, everyone! I am officially back home. I didn't plan on taking a road trip this weekend, but when bestie calls and says she needs you, you drop everything and go. Them's the rules.

I had hoped for a few hours of open road and Sleep Token (my beloved) at full volume, but I only got the latter. We are still going strong on X! Actually, a new hashtag started trending today: #ValkoGoodestBoy. I have no idea where it came from, but I love it.

This lovely X user has compiled a thread of donation links. There are currently 28 posts in the thread, including the Wolf Conservation Center, wolf conservation organizations across Mexico, Europe, and Asia, TreeNation, Canadian women's shelters, organizations for the homeless, and many others. I'm tearing up typing this. Despite how stressful this situation has been, we have done so much good.

This lovely X user has added up the sum of our donations. We are at over $140,000, not including individual donations and symbolic adoptions. You guys...🥹

Billboards, signs, and gatherings are still popping up all over the place. Someone in LA had a #BringValkoBack sign at a rave, a billboard went up in Mexico—Valko fans are next level.

The Protest — CN Side

Before I get into the details, let me just say I am so proud of the CN fans, and I am so grateful for their bravery. Speaking up against the media and against the norm is no small feat in China. They are a major source of hope for us.

The RedNote video (clearing the rumors about Valko) is doing INCREDIBLY well. It has been reposted by several users, and it has spread to Weibo as well. I don't have exact statistics for it—seeing as its become so widespread—but I can confidently say it is improving the public opinion by leaps and bounds.

Speaking of Weibo, this post talks about a campaign that is currently ongoing. Here is the link to it. CN fans are clarifying the misinformation, calling for Infold to reinstate Valko, and expanding its reach through giveaways. The comments are overwhelmingly positive, talking about Valko's innocence and asking Infold to bring him back. It currently has 27k likes and over 5k comments.

Several days ago, I was reporting on the Recharge Collection started by CN players—aka, the total amount spent by players who reported their spending. I'm unsure of how many people have contributed to it, but the total is at a whopping $15 million. Here is the link if you would like to add your own spending total to it.

Damn. That's all I can say. Thank you to this user for adding in the markers. If you'll recall the revenue chart from my previous report, there's a pattern it usually follows according to the banners—big spike, drop, little spike, drop, repeat. That little spike right after Valko's teaser is comparatively small, but there were no other spikes after it to compensate for it. Now, yes, Infold is a multi-million dollar company, and a little drop in revenue is not going to harm them long-term, but it certainly draws attention.

According to this post, LADS currently sits at #79 overall and #45 in all games in the CN iOS App Store. This is significantly lower than it usually ranks. It's usually in the top 10 highest grossing apps. Yikes. If only there was a way fix that...

I’ve been trying to get this message out on X but i have fuck all reach so Imm hoping if even a small amount of you see this, it’ll make a difference.

I am really concerned with how many people are believing absolutely everything they read without due diligence. This could lead to some pretty shitty outcomes, and we’ve already seen the heartbreak and upset that follows when these claims or “insider knowledge” are proven fake or heavily fabrication.

I’m sure any history teacher, and academics can back me up here - but when you’re presented with info, whether it’s from CN social media or global, please remember:

•Evidence - is there any concrete evidence that backs up the claims? Can this evidence be verified? Is it a primary or secondary source (an actual article, a confirmed press release, or is it a friend of a friend) Screenshots of messages or supposed correspondence without verifiable proof is not reliable.

•Background - if you receive a message from someone asking you to spread something or saying they have insider knowledge, ask yourself - what is on their profile? What did they post prior to the Valko protests? What purpose will this serve if spread and implemented?

•Intent - we know antis and bots have flooded CN socials and a lot are making their way to global ones. We know they have malicious intent and will do what they can to misdirect and cause problems. So please ask yourselves -Why are they reaching out to you specifically? Have they attempted to spread this message on their own profiles? Have they been active in the protest prior to the shift in focus?

•Political context - if you are given information claiming the government or related bodies have does this that and the other, ask yourself - how was this information obtained? Is this typical behaviour? Is this the sort of information that would be made public?

The majority of us are at a disadvantage because we do not know the Chinese legal system or their political hierarchy. This can easily lead us astray. Either read up on it and educate yourself, or don’t engage.

•Context in general - nothing exists in a vacuum. If a definitive statement can be confidently made, then a definitive reason and evidence should always be there too.

A source is only reliable as its author. You cannot make broad claims without evidence (we need something far more credible than screenshots people) and all because it comes from CN socials does not make it reliable. We are at risk of creating further panic and confusion by simply accepting everything said as gospel.

I know I’ve not covered absolutely everything needed for critical thinking, but please try not to get swept away with everything you read. Always question, always search for more.

Let me start by saying that there is a lot of mixed information floating around. It's very difficult to determine what is legitimate, I won't lie to you. People have differing opinions, there is a TON of conflicting information, and far too much speculation.

The Current Protest

As you all know, we've pivoted to challenging the false information in the CN media. However, we seem to be shifting once again. Players have generally agreed that #ValkoWasFramed insinuates that we are challenging or placing blame—which we want to avoid for the sake of not causing any controversy. Now, we want to avoid directly confronting Chinese media.

I know the constant changes are frustrating. I'm trying to keep up with everything too. So, here's everything I know:

Looking Forward

SPECULATION: I'm going to be frank with you—we're probably looking at getting Rafayel's 4th myth on July 17th. Infold is likely desperate to see a jump in revenue. Here's how the revenue chart is looking:

Basically, not good. This is only over the span of a month.

Once again, I'm going to be honest with you—if we want Valko back, we have to hit Infold where it hurts: revenue. That means absolutely no spending. As a myth collector, this is extremely frustrating to me, so believe me when I say that I understand how many of you feel.

However, you can absolutely choose for yourself. If you want to pull for it, don't let anyone shame you into feeling guilty.

But this post explains it well. "If spending spikes back to normal, headlines will write 'the boycott collapsed' and our leverage evaporates exactly when the company is deciding how much our waiting matters." This boycott does not have a deadline. It ends when we get Valko back.

Remember, banners always rerun. There will always be another chance to get it. I'm okay with missing out if it means making this protest stronger.

I very much encourage you to continue boycotting. Money is the universal language. Personally, I will not be touching the game until Infold releases an official statement.

Question everything, believe nothing. I am BEGGING all of you to use your common sense and critical thinking skills. I don't care if someone says they have "insider information" or they spoke to a CN player or whatever the hell. Unless they come with concrete, verifiable proof, keep scrolling.

Our end goal, no matter how we go about it, is the same: getting Valko back. Keep posting, keep talking, keep being loud. Make your voices heard.

Once again, the universal language is money. Even logging in puts money in Infold's pocket. Boycotting is ultimately your decision, but I ask you to think long term.

Some things you can do to convey to infold that you are unhappy with the 6.0 update and recent decisions

- REVIEW BOMB Leave a low rating on the AppStore (make sure to phrase this in a certain way so it doesn’t get deleted: Be genuine and rationally voice your reason; eg. I enjoyed the game, however…)

- REQUEST REFUNDS if you had bought anything to prepare for Valko

- GIVE FEEDBACK rationally and peacefully through customer service, in-game surveys, bug reports, etc. Make it known, especially if you’re a spender, that you do not want to spend anymore in light of their recent decisions. They especially pay attention to customer dissatisfaction if it means their revenue will decline or has a chance of declining

- DO NOT SPEND I understand some cannot help but log in, but if you do, then do not spend. This hits them hardest. It directly communicates that we are unhappy with the content and will not line their pockets until changes are made

- BRING VALKO BACK never stop talking about him, making art + fanfiction for him, voicing your love for the 6th LI on the Love and Deepspace official accounts, etc 🩵🐺

Okay here are some things that give us hope right now.

- Valko’s trailers are still up on X, the only platform that doesn’t allow archiving of posts.

- His discord has been archived, not deleted.

- The hunters notice messages from his live stream is still in the game.

- His world underneath chapter is still there.

- His song is still up on Spotify.

- Caleb’s version update for his release was split into two parts and he came in part 2. They could be doing the same thing with Valko.

- Infolds silence isn’t voluntary. There is no way. They are losing more revenue by the day, they have fallen dramatically in the charts, their reviews have been absolutely bombed and the update is glitchy as fuck. They’re editing content behind the scenes to meet the ccp’s expectations and it’s obvious they rushed the update because of it.

- on top of the ccp breathing down their necks they are still being violently targeted and threatened by deranged “fans.” They won’t say anything until they have their shit sorted and it’s safe to do so.

A quick note to my fellow Sylus mains.

One of y’all just pissed me clean off on X. How could you NOT support Valko? Let me lay this out plain and simple.

1. The storyline was ALWAYS meant to include 6 LIs. Six stellactrum colors, six protocore colors, six slots to display cards on your profile, six options in the dating page, six opponents in the battles, SIX.

2. Each LI has a foil. Xavier and Sylus. Zayne and Caleb. Rafayel and VALKO.

3. Does “COMING SOON” mean NOTHING to you people?? Every time you open a page that shows the LIs, the bottom right says COMING SOON. It has ALWAYS been there.

4. Valko getting removed impacts Caleb and Sylus’s main stories. They will be rushed, low-effort, and completely inadequate. If you want quality content for your main, I highly suggest joining in on this protest. It’s not just about Valko—it’s about Infold LISTENING to its players.

Finally, and most importantly, do you not see the parallels between Valko and Dragon Sylus? Both reviled and cast aside. Both forced into darkness because of hatred. Both unappreciated and unloved. You would TRULY allow Valko to experience the same fate as our dragon? I can’t even begin to express how disappointed Sylus would be in you.

Hasn’t he always told you to fight? To get stronger? To stand up for yourself and what you love? You’re failing him, miserably. And I mean that.

Edit: AND ANOTHER THING. No one’s forcing you to main Valko. No one’s forcing you to interact with his content WHEN he gets released. But what about the people who genuinely want him there? What about everyone who wants to main him and see his storyline unfold? You’re going to prevent them from getting a character they love?

How would you feel if someone took YOUR main away? I hope you realize that if Valko stays unreleased, they could just as easily remove any of the other LIs. This situation sets a dangerous precedent.

Don’t want to main him? Totally fine. But you do not have the right to keep him from the people that would love him.
