Hammond

Name: Hammond of Madden, Hammond the Ageless

Sex: Male

Hometown: Madden

Class: Bishop

Appearance: He's tall and slender with straight, indigo hair that falls to his waist. His skin is pale and unblemished, and while he appears to be weak, he's quite resilient. His eyes are golden, and he moves with an inhumane grace. His long robes are white, and while they are understated, they are also high-quality and flattering. He wears a funny hat that is kind of box-shaped and has a white veil covering the back and sides of his head. 

Background: He is the head of House Madden. About two years ago, after Rience's last descendant died without an heir, House Madden allied with the Becketts and beat out the other houses in order to put Hammond on the throne. There are still a lot of people who hold grudges over this. Specifically, he and the head of House Ithaca have a strange relationship where they do not get along, but they tolerate each other (sometimes). Hammond is a follower of the Rubese Church.

Other: He is the king of Lachla. Although he rose to fame in the military, he is a surprisingly pacifistic man who dislikes unnecessary bloodshed.

Captain

Name: no one knows u_____u (jk i do but i guess you're gonna have to find out yourself)

Sex: Male

Age: 42

Hometown: He lives in Catalan, but he's a native Ruskayan.

Class: Hero

Appearance: He has scraggly blonde hair, secured out of his face by three leather straps worn like headbands, and his eyes are brown. His tan skin is riddled with scars from past battles. He is a formidable figure, tall and muscular. He wears a spiked shoulder guard over his right shoulder but otherwise goes topless. On his lower half, he wears some kind of skirted tribal wear from Ruskaya and thick armored boots.

Background: People say he's worked for House Madden for more than a few years, and before that he was raised in Ruskaya. People are still startled by the Ruskayan traditions and beliefs he upholds, such as swearing by the sky and earth instead of by the goddess.

Reason they joined Division 8: He worked for House Madden for some odd years and was appointed captain when Hammond became king.

Other: He is the captain of Division 8. He's supportive of his men but can get a bit enthusiastic, especially when work ethic and exercise are concerned.

Rex

Name: Rex of Thessaly,

Sex: Male

Age: 21

Hometown: Thessaly Manor

Class: Fighter

Appearance: About 5”11 in height, with broad shoulders, and a well muscled physique. He has light skin, with wavy black hair, and light green eyes. He wears green light-armor and a yellow cape.

Background: His mother died when he was really young, having died after she tripped and fell down the stairs. While he was never really close with his father, Rhett, Rex got along great with his grandfather, wanting to be like him when he grew up. He was taught how to use an axe by a fighter from Gaul who was a part of Division 10. After the war happened, and his family was humiliated, leading to the suicide of his Grandfather, he grew despondent for a few months, before suddenly joining the army.

Reason they joined Division 8: While he doesn’t think his father can clear the family name, he himself aims to redeem it, and joined the military as his first step.

Other: He finds his dad annoying, and his step-mom just barely bearable.

Robin

Name: Robin Ardsly

Sex: Male

Age: 15

Country: He’s not sure where he’s from. He was found on a piece of driftwood out to sea.

Class: Archer

Strength: Luck

Weakness: Defense

Appearance: Robin has really messy hair that has such a light shade of blond that it’s almost white, and his clothes are generally drab and unassuming. He stands at about 5’6 and has a thin build and blue eyes.

Background: Doesn’t remember anything before he was discovered out at sea.

Reason he joined Division 8: Turns out one of the things he still remembers is how to shoot an arrow. He got Davos out of a bind, and later Davos and Seija got him out of a bind. Seija asked if they could keep him, and that was that.

Other: He loves to chat, but is slow to approach people. He’ll usually hang around from a distance and listen to people talk until someone speaks up about him.

Davos

Name: Davos Royce

Sex: Male

Age: 23

Country: Lachla, grew up around Catalan’s ports.

Class: Myrmidon

Strength: Skill

Weakness: Defense

Appearance: Davos has black hair and sharp, grey eyes. While he keeps in shape, he isn’t overly muscular. He stands just under 5’10, weighs 151 pounds, and has a diamond-shaped face.

Background: Davos’ father was a fisherman, and he learned swordfighting from his uncle, who was part of the city guard. He wanted to be more like his uncle, so he used his father as a negative role model and eventually moved in with his uncle. His uncle died on duty soon after Davos was assigned to the 8th Division. Davos hasn’t spoken with his father in ages, and doesn’t even know if he’s alive. On another note, he’s Seija’s (nonbiological) bro.

Reason he joined Division 8: His uncle was a member and he wanted to be more than a fisherman.

Darius

Name: Darius.

Sex: Male.

Age: 26

Hometown: Southern Aslyn, from one of the desert towns.

Class: Thief.

Appearance: The first thing most people tend to notice about him is his dark skin. In Aslyn he’s actually very average-looking and has a tendency to go unnoticed, but most other places draw attention to his skin colour. He has very short black hair, and a short beard to go along with it. He has dark brown eyes that look quite open and honest, and typically has an unassuming look on his face.

Background: He was a petty criminal in Aslyn, but he left it when he was quite young to see more of the world and to escape building up too big of a record. He found himself in Galen during the time of the revolution and, drawn to its ideals, he joined in. He wasn’t very successful though, and he was captured by the Rubese, ending up in Lachla as a prisoner. He was since released, but he has no money and no trustworthy skills, so he’s yet to actually get anywhere.

Reasons for joining Division 8: Money. Also he figured it would be a good mark on his record for people instead of all his bad ones.

Other: He has not entirely given up thievery or his revolutionary ideals and is still completely liable to pickpocket people or wax lyrical about the evils of imperialism, despite the obvious hypocrisy.

Audrey

Name: Audrey Danvers, Mouse (to family members)

Sex: Female

Age: 20

Hometown:  Lachla, just outside of Catalan, near Beckett Manor.

Class: Myrmidon

Appearance:  Thick black hair that almost looks blue in certain lights and has a natural wave but cut to rest around her shoulders. Is of medium height and a slight build. Fair skinned and has blue eyes with an oval-shaped face and a slightly upturned small nose. Wears a short maroon tunic with silver trim, black ankle boots made from thick hide and black fingerless gloves. The tunic is tightened by her black belt that carries her sword in its scabbard, and thin boiled leather armor. Has a cape of black fur when in colder climates that is pinned with a silver broach.

Background: Mother is a Beckett while father is a wealthy merchant. She lived a privileged upbringing, but around twelve years old an accident lead to her to practice swordsmanship and military craft.

Reason they joined Division 8: As a member of the Beckett family feels like she wants to assist them in maintaining order in Lachla.

Other: She has been dodging marriage proposals and has a desire to join the battle on the front lines, which makes her a little irritated with the police work of Division 8 at times.

Seija

Name: Seija

Sex: Female

Age: 22

Hometown: Rubere, on the outskirts of Seigard City

Class: Cleric

Appearance: Seija likes to constantly keep her hood up on her robes, less out of propriety and more out of the fact that she likes to feel mysterious.  While her robes are almost always white, except for special colors for holiday services, she likes to spice them up a bit.  Her robes often have flowers, feathers, or whatever other colorful objects she can find attached to them. Despite having darker skin for a Rubese person, she is still just as prejudiced as the rest of them.

Background: Seija was sent to become a Cleric at a young age, for the most part growing up away from her family.  Despite this she kept in contact with her family, specifically her older brother.  When he was killed in Galen’s revolutionary war, she was devastated.

Reason they joined Division 8:  After her brother’s death, Seija wanted to do more to help in the field.  Not wanting to be seen as vengeful for her brother’s death in the Rubese army, she went to the Lachlan army where significantly less people would be able to guess her reason for joining.

Other: She likes shiny things more than most people.

Emily

Name: Emily

Sex: Female

Age: 19

Hometown: Ragnar, Galen.

Class: Dancer

Appearance: Tall, about 5”8, with long, curly blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and fair white skin. She is quite beautiful and has a bit of a curvy figure. She wears a version of the Dancer outfit for Awakening, as seen below, only red.

Background: She was born from the union of two Rubese soldiers, one a Pegasus Knight from Rubere, the other a Hero from Galen. She grew up in Galen while it was still a colony of Rubere, and developed a love for dancing after seeing a performance when she was young. She started learning several years later, learning mostly traditional Galen dances, though she did learn a few traditional and religious dances when her mother brought her to visit Rubere.

When the war happened, her parents splitted-up due to loyalty to their homelands and views on the matter. Emily chose to stay in Galen with her father, and hasn’t seen or heard from her mother in years. Afterwards, she and her father did their best to support themselves and their homeland, until her father decided that she would have a better life somewhere else, and had her move to Lachla, where she would have a better chance of living a better life.

Reason they joined Division 8: Her primary skill is dancing, and since she didn’t want to end up working in the red-light district, and dancers can help in battle, she joined the military, though she didn’t want to take part in any wars.

Other: Her father sends her money every month, much to her chagrin and worry.

Nikolai

Name: Nikolai Chriele

Sex: Male

Age: 16

Hometown: Born in Rubere, spent most of his life in Ruthmere, Lachla

Class: Shaman

Appearance: Short-ish (5’6”), fair skin, not very threatening-looking. Strawberry blond hair and blue-violet eyes. Wears dark coats befitting of a dark magic user. Typically looks kind of distant or unfocused.

Background: He used to be acquaintances with the daughter of a noble, then he learned some magic things and did some travelling. Probs will post a background story sometime in the eventuality.

Reason they joined Division 8: his sister made him. Or more like his sister suggested it so he just went with it.

Other: he’s super indecisive which means he pretty much lets everyone else decide things for him. Zero sense of initiative.

Rain

Name: Rain Chevalier

Sex: Male

Age: 24

Hometown: Cilecia, Lachla

Class: Cavalier (of the red variety)

Appearance: Dark magenta hair with eyes just a shade lighter. Tall-ish but slouches and generally has terrible posture. Fair skin.

Background: Parents did farming things. Also other stuff happened probably.

Reason they joined Division 8: It’s a job. Also for kicks. Also maybe other reasons.

Other: Usually not a nice person. He has a horse named Turtle. He also has a turtle named Arabella.

Snow

Name: Snow Mellor

Sex: Female

Hometown: Cilecia 

Class: Cavalier (of the green variety)

Appearance: She has very light blonde hair befitting of her name, bright turquoise eyes and light skin. She stands of average height and sports a slender frame. 

Background: Snow lived with her parents for most of her life, leading a relatively safe but dull life. She learned how to ride horses when she was young, and eventually decided to join Division 8 as a Cavalier. 

Reason: After living a relatively normal life, she wanted to help people. Also Rain convinced her into joining. 

Other: She tries hard to do her best at everything but sometimes it just isn’t enough.
