sorry to get preachy on you guys but im always very uncomfortable when i see vids or pics of people with owls as pets (and comments going aww how cute i want one!!!!!!) because more often than not they look really undernourished and are probably freaked the fuck out and just wants to leave. you absolutely do not (and should not) want to keep an owl as a pet. theyre incredibly high maintenance and keeping them as a pet will probably do more harm then letting them live in the wild. just get a parrot if you want a bird as a pet. or if you REALLY want to keep a predatory bird, try doing falconry. its expensive and time consuming as shit but if you really care that much then it wont be a problem. you already have enough money to blow on trying to keep an owl.

i dont care if you think its cute or not, its kind of fucked.
