Don't mind us, we are just a struggling ecosystem of organisms who are tired of the world being cruel.

๐๐ผ๐ Just a nonhuman polluting the waters with our unaligned transexuality and autism. *dabs*. Aromantic, aplatonic, burntout and disabled. I have absolutely zero interest in censoring my identity or experiences to make it more palatable, nor do I believe anyone is owed any of my personal information about my identity!
๐๐ผ๐ Please have mercy on me. My brain is lagging like my partners 15 year old computer. (Update, the computer has passed away, 2025. Just like my will to live.)

Stop going after the Bad Kink of trans women you don't like. Whatever is bad about them is unrelated to their sexual preferences and I'm really tired of seeing people act like there's a roving gang of trans women who sexually abuse their younger siblings or fuck animals on Tumblr. Cut it the hell out!!!!!
i wanna see more art of trans men with boobs where the point of the art is anything other than the fact that they have boobs. i want the idea of trans men with breasts to stop being novel. i want people to stop perceiving trans men as only either having already had top surgery or always binding. i want people to stop assuming everyone with visible breasts is a woman or woman-aligned. i want breasts to become a completely genderless feature. i wanna be allowed to let em hang without being misgendered. i wanna be able to stop worrying about what to put on my chest every day for the sake of other people's perception of me without feeling pressured into getting expensive surgery. i want that to stop being the only two options for transmascs
Since we're discussing Doctor Who's historic treatment of its characters of color, I thought I'd toss another name in the ring I haven't seen discussed yet. I've seen people mention Martha, Yaz, Bill, Mickey, and Ryan but I haven't seen anyone bring up Danny Pink.
Spoiler bar for long ass post as well as if someone's watching through for the first time after 15 and don't want decades old spoilers (there's a tldr at the bottom)
If you don't remember or didn't watch through series 8, Danny Pink was the partner of Clara Oswald. You might've forgotten she had a partner because she sure did. I'm going to walk through his story arc during series 8.
When we first meet Danny, he's working at the same school as Clara. He's shy, sweet, and loves kids. From the first episode its clear he's a military veteran with severe PTSD due to accidentally killing a child while in Afghanistan. Not going to touch that commentary, thats a whole separate post.
He's interested in Clara and eventually asks her out. They go out and it starts rocky but they do work it out and start dating. However, during these first few months of dating, Clara lies to him about where she's constantly going. Brushing off his questions and gaslighting him. Even Rose didn't lie to Mickey. He's only told after being put in danger due to an attack at the school. He's then obviously worried for her safety but is alright with it even though he dislikes the Doctor. Only asking that she tell him if the Doctor ever made her do something she didn't want to do. And guess what happened? The Doctor left Clara alone to make a decision that impacted the entire human race, deciding whether or not to kill a creature before its even born. When the Doctor knew what the right choice was.
Danny knows instantly that something was wrong when she returned and she did tell him what happened. He asks her to tell the Doctor she's done traveling with him and she agrees. She tells him she's just going on one last adventure with him. Well, you can guess what happens next. She continues to follow the Doctor and lies to Danny again by not telling him. All the while making the same googly eyes at 12 that Rose did for 9 and 10.
A few more months and then a school field trip goes wrong, they need the Doctors help. Clara tried to play it off in front of Danny that she's seeing him for the first time since their "last adventure". However Danny could see she was hiding something and deduced she was lying. After they're all safe, he tells her to go home, think, and finally tell him the truth. They plan for him to come to her flat and she'd finally explain everything. Unfortunately, as he was on the way and on the phone with her, HE GETS HIT BY A CAR AND FUCKING DIES.
But is our boy safe from torment now that he's dead? Absolutely not! No, then his mind is uploaded to the Nethersphere and forced to meet the child he killed.
But is that the worst of it? Absolutely not! When Missy's plan for the season was finally enacted, Danny was pulled from the Nethersphere and put into a Cyberman.
However he's not just any Cyberman, he's one that can still feel. He saves Clara from some other Cybermen and before revealing his identity, she drops the fucking line of referring to the Doctor as the one man she'd never lie to. Fucking disgusting. He reveals his identity to her and asks that she help turn off his emotions. She, with the Doctors help, does so allowing him to join the Cyberman hivemind. Even without his emotions he still doesn't attack Clara, the Doctor explaining love is a promise not a feeling. The Doctor gives Danny Missy's control bracelet and he uses it to blow up all the Cybermen, including himself.
He returns to the Nethersphere but its quickly deteriorating. Two weeks after his death he manages to open a portal, but there's only room for one, so he let's the kid he killed through. Asking Clara to find his parents (love you Danny but crazy ask). This is the last we see of Danny. Well until the Christmas special where in her dreams she sees a life with him. Ending the dream with him telling her to remember him for 5 minutes a day before getting on with her life.
SO TLDR
Let's go through these one by one
1. He's kept in the same role as Mickey, being the "pet boyfriend" while Clara jets around with 12
2. She lies to him about it and then lies to him again after he expressed how much it hurt the first time
3. Just as he's about to get some closure and maybe they can work it out HE GETS HIT BY A CAR AND FUCKING DIES
4. In death he's made to meet the child he killed in Afghanistan and has severe PTSD over
5. Hes brought back to life as a fucked up suffering Cyberman
6. Is told by Clara directly that the Doctor is the only man she would never lie to
7. FUCKING DIES AGAIN
8. Has a chance to be brought back but instead the child he killed years ago is instead put in the UK alive again (How is she supposed to find his parents?? How is she supposed to get him there?? That family mourned for years already?? His parents might not still be alive??)
9. Then is brought back for the Christmas special where Clara's unconscious mind tells her that she has to move on with her life and its okay to not think about him too much
I- this man never did a single fucking thing wrong since meeting him again not touching the vet stuff and he is quite literally treated like less than garbage. At least Mickey and Martha got happy endings. Fuck Moffat and fuck RTD. He deserved so much better.
Missy walks out of a room, lipstick smeared and hair disheveled. "You should see the other guy." She smirks, gesturing towards the door. You open it. The Doctor is dead on the floor
What helped me write trauma better is remembering that the nervous system learns predictions. If danger used to come after quiet, calm can feel threatening. If kindness used to come with a price, kindness can feel suspicious. So healing is not just โthey know theyโre safe now.โ Healing is the slow, annoying, deeply unfair process of teaching the body that the old prediction is not always the present truth.
every year small towns and indigenous communities across canada are burnt to nothing by horrific wildfires and americans go on the internet to complain about it and blame us bc the smoke has spread to their state. iโm so tired.
go yell at mark carney or your own local politicians about climate change and urge them to do more to stop it. the namaygoosisagagun first nation had their community destroyed today. you can find a link to donate to them here. donate to your local food bank. go to the beach next week when the smoke clears and you donโt have to think about it anymore while the people whoโs lives have been destroyed will have to pick up the pieces and try to move forward when we are already in a huge cost of living crisis across the country.
Free service with ads: Well, if I'm not paying for it they have to foot the bill somehow.
Paid service with no ads: Well, if they're not funding it with ad revenue, they need to charge us something.
Paid service with ads: Well that's bullshit.
"We used to be a paid service without ads, but now we're putting ads in it! If you want the ad-free version you have to pay more for preeeeemium": Fuck you fuck you fuck you

i think it's really fun when a rly specific trope is super popular in one particular medium but in other ones it's just totally unheard of. it's the time knife. visual novel players are suuuuper used to death games but many others encountered them for the first time in squid games. the other day my mom showed me all excited the summary of a super original novel she found and it was about a girl who got reincarnated as the main character in her favorite fantasy book
