AND I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS!!!!!

Not only that but the game being literally centered around freedom and dark worlds. And not only is berdly (a bird) a massive symbol for freedom but he is depicted as feeling more free in the dark worlds.

And he is also the only main character not listed neither in ralsei's story at the start or the prophecy which to me at least, shows how much of a game changer he is.

He's so cool and there's so many ways to look into his character alone and narrative wise but people keep ignoring him either for ships or to cast him aside as a joke character. Which would in my opinion be impossible for him to be since this is the game toby fox has been planning for over TEN YEARS and that he is again, one of the main characters whether people like it or not!!

And i love how you mentioned the weird route, because that is so important to me, like one of the ONLY things that changes is him being injured/possibly dead. If the most drastic change in the game actively requires for him to not be able to be in it, it just shows how important he will be!
