Ok, so we finally actually watched Project Hail Mary since the Iron Lung fandom seems to be going wild over it. Very good movie, it didn't hit the same as Iron Lung, but that's an us thing. Not what I'm here to talk about.

I'm just so confused why the patron saint of one way trips title is being applied to Grace as well as Simon? It doesn't make any sense to us. I get that their stories started similarly and neither of them were intended to survive. But that completely ignores the fact that Grace did survive and he had the chance to go back to Earth and chose not to. The outcomes are completely different, and the applying of the title to both characters kinda feels like it's underselling both stories. It feels like some people just wanted to compare Grace to Simon without actually thinking about how differently their stories ended and how much more agency Grace had in his own ending. Maybe it's just us idk. It just feels bizarre.
