i think the beset description of my personality is me finding the misfits at age 12 and going “yes. yes. this is how i want to be.” but then hiding that i liked them for 4 more years… while still watching dan and phil until i was like 14 i literally binged all of fitz’s videos hiding them from my mother in like a week

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

(Before anyone jumps on this about c@rson, its not about him, its a different event, but I wanted to make a statement and here was the only place I felt comfortable doing it)

If you are going to accuse someone of something, please use the correct terms, because there is a huge difference between "inappropriate conduct in the presence of a minor" and "grooming/pedophilia".

Using the wrong terms doesn't help anyone. If you accidentally accuse someone of the wrong thing, and try to back track and explain you were wrong, it makes you look like a liar, and it can also make the punishment worse for the "guilty" party (in parentheses because while they are guilty, its not of that particular thing).

It can also reflect badly on people that have actually had these horrible things done to them, because the word carries less weight.

That being said, if the person is guilty of inappropriate conduct with a minor, but not grooming/pedophilia, it does not mean that they are an innocent person, they still did a bad thing, and will need to take responsibility for that.

Please be careful moving forwards, and remember that posting baseless accusations based on a snippet of a statement that you didn't even read is not helping. Take the victims side, but listen to the whole story, and read all the evidence too.
