i really love the misa, light and L dynamic because it's just the three worst people you've ever met in your life with rotating amnesia manipulating and attempting to murder/execute each other while also going on fake dates and pretending to attend college. sometimes they want to save each other's lives and sometimes they want each other dead and no one is ever on the same page at the same time. everyone is the third wheel in the parasocial relationships they have with one another. i wish hell was real so they could all go there and gaslight the devil together.

I've talked about this before but I really hope people take more notice of how similar Kyouka and Odasaku are... they are very very similar people, right down to disposition and backstory

Odasaku was an assassin who took up a no-killing philosophy

Kyouka, too, was an assassin who no longer wishes to kill

Both are hard to read due to their blank expressions

Intense focus on whatever they're doing

Complete non-reactions to the wild shenanigans around them

Major catalysts for the plot and other characters' development

Find enjoyment in the simple things (a good book, the sea, crepes)

Odasaku loves curry

Kyouka loves tofu

Odasaku adopts orphans

I love how Arakawa clearly wrote detailed backstories for her characters and just like… never elaborates on them. I found an old interview where she was asked why she didn’t include a resolution for Hawkeye and Mustangs goals and her response was essentially “cause this story is about Ed :)”

She’s my biggest inspiration.
