A warning lamp was already sounding in the back of her head. Chloe could see this guy was one that did not want her help, at all. She just wasn’t good at taking no for an answer when the person she talked to was hurt like this. As the cursewords and insults started rolling off his tounge, she wasn’t exacly surprised. But she was stricken by how mean some people managed to be. Even if it was mostly to strangers.. Chloe pressed her lips together, not sure if she wanted to throw hurtful words back at him, attempt to and fail in her case, or just leave him be. “No? Tough guy are you?” She raised her brows a little. That would probably earn her another insult. “You look like a stupid guy for hobbling around with an injury that should be looked at by professionals.” Chloe shook her head. “If I say yes will you go to the nearest emergency room? Or should I just call them?”Â
Mike snickered at her comment."Your words, not mine,” he stated, raising one hand, seeing as the other one was occupied with clutching his side. As the girl continued her little speech, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes once again. “Do all medics insult their patients or is that just your area of expertise?” he asked, narrowing his eyes as a rather sly smile curved his lips for a brief moment. As soon as she mentioned the emergency room, his composure changed, clearly uncomfortable with the whole idea. Yet, he continued to act like everything was fine. “Of course,” he replied with a shrug, having no intention of going anywhere near a hospital anytime soon. “I’ll go as soon as you move out of my way.”
