...as well as just where to watch them in general.

sooo... I don't know if this has been done yet but I've decided to make a sort of compliation of google drives for all the different remakes of BBC Ghosts. Just in case it might be helpful, because through my other posts, I've learned that quite a few people don't know there are other versions of Ghosts. This post will be updated frequently.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of these google drives, and I've mostly encountered them through Tumblr and Reddit posts so thank you so much to the people who made them!!

BBC Ghosts (UK Original)

(English subtitles are included.) Found this link on a Tumblr post—sorry to report that I don't know who made it, and have forgotten which post I've sourced this from. I do know who did the translations—that would be @rovermcfly. The English-speaking community thanks you. If you can speak German, the episodes are available for free on the ARD website.

Ghosts France

(English subtitles are included.) I sourced this from the same Tumblr post as the German remake. Unfortunately, I don't know who made this drive or who translated. I'm pretty sure you can watch this on Disney+ also... but only for some regions.

Ghosts Greece

I have two drives for this one, here's the first:

So like, when I was younger, I read a bunch of books by Roald Dahl and don’t get me wrong, I did think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was fun but I don’t get why James and the Giant Peach doesn’t get the same hype???? LIKE—it’s just as good, in fact, in my case, I liked it a lot better.

i cannot lie, i've been kind of (try very) absent in the Ghosts fandoms lately... lots of y'all should know me from me "ghosts google drive masterpost" post. any major updates i should know about?

"oh my god my friends don't understand my fandom memes" yes but have you ever been so desperate to get one of your friends to understand fandom memes that you translated Les Mis crack videos from over ten years ago on the spot while simutaneously explaining where each meme audio originated from because otherwise your friend would have no idea why that meme was considered funny

Anyone else notice how some of the details in the Greek Ghosts echo the ones in Ghosts US? I did expect something like this to happen at some point, but it was still surprising. Like, Kallirroi calls Apostolos a murderer when he pushes Marina out the window, but Fanny never calls Julian "a murderer". The only person who does that throughout all the versions of Ghosts is Hetty. And then we have that scene where Athanasios comments on Haris saying "he has a back, such legs, such muscles", it strongly echos Isaac's line shortly after the ghosts find out Sam & Jay are planning on setting up a hotel. idk, I just thought that was interesting.

Imagine in a German ghosts Xmas special, Claudius is very confused about griet saying that Christmas is about celebrating the birth of a very special guy who dies at the hands of his special. He ask Emma about this and she shows him a book from her childhood. It’s a kids bout about Jesus. She reads to him and shows him the pictures. He finally understands what griet means when he listens to the part about the crucifixion. What do you think is going on in Claudius’ head when he’s listening to the story? I can imagine him saying that Pontius Pilate’s toga looks cool and he says that he misses wearing one of those.

"he misses wearing one of those" lol. I imagine it feels like everything makes sense now. He probably feels a little mad at his people for allowing an innocent man to be killed, and a little ashamed that he's from the same country as these guys. I imagine that he might also be scared of what else might has happened—he obviously knows that his people are far from saints, and feel guilty about the past, and wonders whether anyone else in the house secretly hates him.

Important to note that he's not letting any of his emotions show! He might even say that Griet is being unreasonable since he didn't do it himself.

that toga thing is so random and funny though I can't really think of any other things like that but I just want you to know that that idea is perfect.

What would the plot of a German ghosts Christmas episode would be? It could have Griet making sarcastic comments about how Christmas celebrates the birth of a very special guy who ends up dying in the hands of Claudius’ people 

oml that's so plausible. I've honestly learned so much about Romans in Christianity from your last act. Griet would probably have a thing or two to say about that. With all the history in this house, some sort of hostility is bound to rise. In my head, if there were a Christmas episode of ARD Ghosts and this were to come up, this would be like the B or C plot of the episode. And Griet would be subtly (actually, not so subtly) hinting at it to Claudius and Claudius would be uncomfortable/confused (I did mention that there's a chance Caludius would have no idea who Jesus is due to the timeframe he lived in and I just think it'd be so fun if he was completely clueless). And then in the end the A plot would wrap up with some message about family and Claudius would address the matter and he and Griet would talk about it. They'd talk about their culture, and their differences, and the episode would wrap up with everyone together as one family. Huh now that I think about it that sounds like a really nice idea for a oneshot. Anyone care to write it?

Well then, what about the A plot? Taking inspiration from the BBC Ghosts Christmas specials, I think the plot would be centered around Emma trying to have a nice, peaceful day with the ghosts and just... everything starts to go wrong. Emma had all these things planned but man luck is not on her side. And on the other hand Felix just wants to spend time with Emma alone but the ghosts are not letting that happen. But the episode ends with them watching a movie together or something and Emma gets to enjoy Christmas with the ghosts and Felix decides that, well, the ghosts are family, so he'll settle for spending Christmas with everyone.

idk the found family dynamic hits realy hard in Ghosts Germany and I really love that. um would anyone like to add ideas for this fictitious German Ghosts Christmas episode? Now I wish it was real.

“Oh shit we shouldn't have done that” but THEN we have the German Ghosts and they’re like:

“Oh well that’s too bad yay for us” and istg the way they don’t give a damn is killing me

Imagine in German ghosts Claudius is watching a Pompeii documentary. I wonder how he would react to seeing his own people getting killed by a volcano? 

nother "what-if" scenario! Man, I love Pompeii. (...I'm a Night at the Museum fan.) I did a quick search and the historic eruption of Mount Vesuvius was in 79 AD, so indeed, Claudius has no flipping idea this happened. Perhaps why it was never brought up in the show--Carthrage and Pompeii are like the two quintessential things that come up in things related to Ancient Rome, even if the two have no reason to be there, so kudos to the show makers for getting that right(Carthrage does come up though, but Claudius would know about that so it makes sense).

Well, obviously Claudius would be upset. Pompeii was a pretty big natural disaster for Ancient Rome. Then again, it's a natural disaster, so maybe he would just be happy to see that people of this day still appreciate the Roman Empire. I imagine all the ghosts sitting around the TV watching it together, and Claudius would comment on the artifacts that are shown on TV. Like, maybe he'd recognize stuff and I think that could be fun. I think if this specific scenario were to happen, Emma and all the ghosts would be wathing the documentary together, and Claudius would be really sad at first but since we don't have any real life footage of the eruption, he'd be able get over it and start enjoying pointing out what the artifacts they show on screen are, be like "I know that place" when they show certain locations, and have fun with the others. If it was a movie on the other hand... yeah he'd be depressed and enraged at historical inaccuracies lol.

(also, I'm sorry if you wanted a longer post like the last one, but I didn't really think that'd be necessary this time so uh... yeah here you go)

Hi guys, I translated the first episode of Ghosts Greece! Much thanks to @welcometochristmasland for sending me the episodes because I couldn't find them <333

Just a heads up, it took me a long time to translate the first episode so chances are uploads of the rest episodes will be slow too! New episodes come out every Sunday night so I will probably be uploading once a week. Hope you enjoy!!

ALSO: in the first ep Haris says "άντε γεια" which is a meme by a soccer presenter who keeps shouting it when he receives non-soccer related or stupid questions. It literally means "goodbye" but in an aggressive tone but I think Haris was using it in a "hell yeah" sense but I've never heard it being used that way irl so it was kinda tricky to translate it so I landed on "goodbye" just to keep the literal meaning of the phrase. Upon rewatching it, I caught a few spelling mistakes too but I didn't have the time to fix them, I promise the next translations will be more polished though eoeidmsms
