Finding a Glenn Scarpelli comic in a 1985 Archie Comic book is surprising…until you realize his father Henry Scarpelli was an Archie Comics artist.
I keep thinking about this quote from John Mellencamp in a recent Esquire magazine.
This is from the person who wrote “I was born in a small town…gonna die in a small town”
Here’s some more. PS: These all came from the same comic book
I’m sensing a pattern here…
I always think of this comic strip I did (in 2005!) whenever I see that my friends back in New England are enduring another blizzard while I'm safe and snow-free in Florida.
I created Tulsa's grandmother's helpful rhyme, but sadly it never caught on.
"Mucus clear, never fear
Mucus green, cough up your spleen
Mucus yellow? One sick fellow
But if your phlegm is brown or red--say your prayers, you're almost dead"
Jo-Jo the Snow-Bastard comic strip, circa 1990′s by Gary Lucia
