from the diary #005
is any of my moots struggle with dental hygiene and brushing your teeth heres a list of things that help me because i thought it was a good idea to share :)))))
- the mechanical act of removing plaque is the part that stops bacteria from building up, so brushing with no toothpaste, brushing with a (clean) finger, and rubbing a tshirt or towel on your teeth will all help (while a little gross)
- dont forget to brush your tongue!!!
- mouthwash is really useful because while brushing without toothpaste removes plaque, youre missing out on the fluoride that helps your enamel. even swishing a tiny bit around for like 2 seconds is better than nothing
- try to chew minty gum often, it helps with bad breath and especially after meals its good because it helps with saliva production to flush out food and the act of chewing helps with that too
- have your toothbrush and adjacent items somewhere you’ll easily remember and that dont take much effort to get to. if that means having a travel size bottle of mouthwash and some floss on your nightstand, then do that!! anything that makes it easier for you to get to and to do when youre super tired. teeth stuff isnt just for the bathroom
- if getting motivated to brush your teeth is really hard and youre really tired (or for any other reason) all you have to do is get up and walk to the bathroom. sit on the floor, drink some water, and if you just dont have the mental capacity to deal with a brush and toothpaste in your mouth, you can always just do one thing. floss the bit of food bothering you, get some toothpaste on your teeth and rub it around with your tongue, or scrub with your brush for a few seconds.
- remember that something is always better than nothing, but dont beat yourself up for not being perfect with teeth brushing. i promise your teeth wont rot out of your skull or anything because you forgot or were too tired or depressed to get out of bed. it happens. but doing any small thing to remove some plaque or make your mouth taste not gross is going to help you feel a little less bad
not sure how to finish this off but take care of yourselves and never forget how swaggy you are
in like 5-8 years when gen alpha starts really making fun of gen z no one is allowed to complain because like 99% of people do nothing but treat those kids like shit
so much of what gen alpha is made fun of (by literal adults!!!) is stuff they absolutely have no control over and is not their fault. they have no control of whether their parents choose to stick an ipad in front of their face day 1 instead of being parents. little girls becoming obsessed with sephora and skincare should not be a reason to make fun of them but a reason to question the beauty industry and its predatory behavior. “brainrot” is intrinsic to every generation. it’s not their fault that schools are increasingly becoming underfunded and kids are becoming more and more left behind by the system. not only are kids gonna be kids but they’re also so insanely vulnerable and unable to do anything about that fact due to being literal children. and it’s so disheartening to see so many things that should be obvious societal issues and causes for concern brushed away or turned into jokes because it’s only affecting children, like they somehow deserve the horrible hand society has dealt them for the very sin of not yet growing up
#A REAL GEN Z NEVER SPEAKS ILL OF GEN ALPHA#<- meme reference#but for real i will go to bad for any child. leave those kids the fuck ALONE#you WILL listen to gen alpha and treat them as the authorities of their experiences!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#on god we are gonna break the cycle of intergenerational division and rise up against ageism
a pretty mind and a pretty soul
you can't hate yourself into loving yourself 𓇢𓆸
there will always be someone better than you, there will always be a step back, there will always be a hurdle. what i am trying to say is that, life cannot be perfect and it won't wait for you. because it isn't meant to be that way. life is messy and chaotic. we make mistakes, and that is what makes us human. it is okay. choose to love yourself. even when you look in the mirror and feel ugly as hell. even when you fail. even when you can't bear to be in your skin. hug yourself and tell your body that it is going to be okay. that is when things starts to change. you can't wake up one day and suddenly be that perfect person who has their life together. sorry to break it to you, but the idea of "having our life together" that the internet has fed us is a scam. no one truly has their life together, we all pretend. so go on and be yourself. love yourself a little. take advantage of the fact that you are alive.
it’s okay to be selfish sometimes, it literally is your life
Tigers with a frozen milk brick on a hot day
needless to say they are hopelessly dependent on the ingot
There is something sooo deeply American going on with Seattle Children’s Hospital that I think would brick the minds of everyone outside of the United States.
The CHILDRENS hospital has to restrict helipad landings because of noise complaints from the wealthy home owners living next to it. Only the most urgent patients can land directly at the hospital. While the other kids have to land a mile away and are taken to the hospital via ambulance. Which is an unnecessary risk to the child’s life and also makes the families pay for the helicopter AND ambulance.
The hospital says some limits on helipad access add pressure when children need lifesaving care.
Apparently this has been going on for decades and is only getting traction because a pilot complained on Twitter.
LOW EFFORT THINGS TO DO THAT WILL STILL RAISE YOUR VIBRATION

A ceo leaves for a week, very few people notice.
The custodial staff leave for a day, everyone notices.
Sanitation and custodial workers deserve far more money and respect than they generally get.
I don't think people understand the degree to which society is kept alive by the labor of the least well-regarded professions. If sewage technicians and sanitation workers and their expertise and knowledge were to disappear tomorrow, the streets would pile high with bodies in every city. We live in a world where we get to be blessedly ignorant to just how fast, how brutally and how violently cholera can rip through a community. How many babies it can kill. How many elderly bodies it can devour alive. You've never seen what it's like when typhoid takes root.
"Oh but we have modern medicine" if you don't have clean drinking water and a way to dispose of your piss and shit and trash you are going to fucking die. No if or but or maybe, you are dead, and so are half the people you know.
How do you get food without people stocking the grocery shelves?
Let alone those that pick food by hand, because id it’s being done by hand we don’t have machines that can.
How do you go to work without people to mind the children? Build the vehicles? Pave the roads?
Cut down the trees that threaten the power lines?
The people often being paid the least possible are directly responsible for the rest of the world to function.
It hasn’t even been half a decade, people.
Remember what Essential Workers are.
And quite frankly, I think we’re ripe for all of us to strike and watch the rest of the world function for several months while we stay home and make bread.
Do it badly.
But do it yourself.

How to find the best version of yourself that you'll fall in love with
As someone who has gone through SO many versions of herself and is now slowly growing to be a person she's genuinely happy and in love with
Trust me when I say I've had a lot of identities these past few years. It took me a lot of time to really find the best version of myself, the version that I'm genuinely happy with, the version that my 10 year old self would have looked up to. However, it's different for everyone. The definition of an "it girl" to me might be different from your definition, and the personality and life that truly feels me might not suit you. So, please take note that this is highly subjective and it's all about you and what works for you.
The one and only thing I did to rebrand myself: I created a character.
