(Making this post on my main so i can reblog to all my pharloomblr blogs and then into the comunity)
I think imma retire from roleplaying in pharloomblr to be honest. The stuff that originally drew me is kinda just... gone. I love all the acrs weve done and ive had a lot of fun but its just... idk, its nothing but angst and fight scenes now and im just not having fun anymore.
Ive been on the fence about this post for like, 3 months now, so...
I do have 2 exceptions however. We have a few small things already planned between Thistle and Dryya so I intend to see that through, and I promised someone that I would let Herrah be a part of their arc and I intend to keep that promise. But other than that i think im done.
Ill still be in the comunity though, sending asks and ill certainly still be in the discord! I just cant keep roleplaying anymore, if i keep roleplaying when no longer having fun then ill end up resenting all of this and all of you and that is the last thing i want, basicly all of my friends are from pharloomblr lol.
If ever the spark that originally drew me in returns then so may i! But as things stand now i dont really see that happening.
So, from here on (minus those exceptions i mentioned before) these blogs are on indefinite hiatus
The caravan has more provisions if you should need them!

Hi, Mooshka! I’m doing really well! I made it to a town called Dirtmouth and met a really nice bug who I might travel with. Making it though the wasteland was scary, but I did it! I think I’m okay for food and stuff for now, but thank you!
How’s everyone back in Pharloom? Even though I’m having lotsa fun here, I really miss them!
This ist absurd! How art we meant to understand what is told if we art infact several versions behind?! This ist now an indecipherable language to us… Is our’t own device as primordial as this Underworker’s?
Varishkava! I adored the flea caravan from the moment I met them--they're a cheerful light in a dark world. Way before I knew anything about Act III, I could imagine them inviting their new warrior friend to set down her weapon and enjoy their company and hospitality awhile before rushing off again on her quest.
And feeling inspired by the bug food other people have come up with in art and fics, I had to draw some, too. Everything here is made with blood--they're fleas!--and I think they'd mostly eat foods that keep well for traveling, with fresh-made foods as more of a special thing.
(also these drawings are set pre-Kratt because he'd spoil the vibe)
I'm sure you mean well with transfem!Kratt, but it's extremely transmisogynistic to look at the cast of Silksong and decide, of anyone, it's the one character who sexually harasses Hornet who's a closeted trans woman.
It's a common stereotype of trans women that they harbour a jealousy of cis women that manifests as harassment and even violence. Kratt being the character you hc as transfem plays into that. Literally any other character or even an OC would be better.
Let me start by saying I appreciate you reaching out to me about this. I always want to be open to conversation and this includes issues about my characters/writings/etc.
I would first like to start by clarifying that I do not headcanon Kratt as transgender. As I have stated in a previous post, the process to creating Fairgrace/transfem!Kratt as a character was a lot less straightforward. Rather, at a time where I wanted to draw a Silksong character coming out as transgender for a small project, I thought about different options. I ended up choosing Kratt as I thought it would be unexpected (as he is a minor character with little to no fan-lore, but also very unpopular due to his behavior) and thus humoristic, with the joke being (I must stress) the unexpectedness itself and not the discussion of transidentity (at the very least this was the intent, although I can see now how this choice can be read differently). After receiving positive feedback about both the character and the design I began to think more seriously about it and wondered how writing Kratt as a closeted trans woman would work, if the subject was treated seriously. This is how the character was developped, as an answer to a specific "what if" scenario rather than being based on an immediate thought/feeling/headcanon.
When writing Fairgrace/transfem!Kratt my aim was to depict the intense joy and liberation that can come with transition, where someone who has been under various and intense pressures their entire life and acted in disastrous ways to cope with them is finally given the one thing which allows them to move forwards and grow as a (happier) person.
This was always my intent, however I was unaware at the time of how prevalent and potent the sterotype you mentioned was. I am now, and will be looking further into this topic to learn more about it and avoid making similar mistakes in the future.
Again, I thank you for reaching out to me.
Art of Fairgrace as well as the askblog will be on hold for now while I look further into the issue. If any transwomen or transfeminine people would like to voice their opinion on the matter I would greatly appreciate reading more points of views ; although I am not asking anyone to "educate me" as I understand it is my own responsibility to do so.
As safe and nice as our home by the pale lake has been, my mind can't help but wonder what else is there in the world. I see of other bugs on this site talk of a place called Hollownest? Strange bugs, what do you think?
apologies if you've already answered this, but where did you get your ribbon and bell accessory? it looks very cute <3
Yayy, thank you! I really like it too, it’s my favourite colour. I got it from Mooshka when I finished training as a therapy flea so I can help all the sacred bugs! It’s like my work outfit!
A bold question from a bug cloaked in grey! I hold no clues on that matter. Not my place to pry if she never offers us a word of that tale. Even if I did know, I doubt she would delight in me sharing such a detail with stranger.
