bakudeku: shadowhunters au
Guys, listen! I’ve came across tons of Harry Potter AU here on tumblr about Bakudeku. But, never have I seen a fanfic/fanart about Mortal Instruments.
So I’m just going to write here what’s in my mind.
Deku and Katsuki are Shadowhunters from Japan. They both started training at a young age. Since they grew up together, they chose each other to be their Parabatai. Parabatai is basically a sacred pact between two Shadowhunters. It means you are to protect each other, to be on each other’s backs until one of you dies.
Everything started out fine, they are invincible, they defeat enemies successfully. Their teachers dubbed them as Wonder Duo because of their record. Even The Clave is impressed with them. But then, they started to fall for each other.
It is a law that you are not to have a romantic relationship with your own Parabatai. It’s sacred, and must be adhered. It’s considered a sin if you are caught having an amorous connection with your own Parabatai.
Despite being forbidden by the law for them to be in a relationship, they still pursue it. They want to elope and forget their Nephilim descendancy, of course, The Clave is furious about it. Two of skilled Shadowhunters, Parabatais at that are in a romantic relationship. It’s a disrespect to the oath they are sworn to, and it’s a humiliation to the Nephilim blood.
The two of them were banished by The Clave. It was a good news for the both of them. They are now free of their responsibilities as Shadowhunters. They tried to live in the Mortal’s world as Mundanes. No one there suspects them, they are free. They can express how much they love each other.
Of course, they can’t escape their past. Their happiness is short lived. Their teacher, Aizawa Shouta reached out to them. Now, Aizawa is a skilled Shadowhunter, he managed to find Deku and Katsuki with the help of a Warlock named, Nemuri Kayama, a former acquaintance of his.
Aizawa informed the two of them that the League of Villains is on the rise, the two of them are needed. Katsuki was not pleased, The Clave was clear with their intent to excommunicate the two of them, why do they need their help?
Aizawa then explained that All for One is back, and Deku, All Might’s successor, is the only one who can match All for One.
Being backed up in the corner, Deku and Katsuki are forced to make a decision; their Love for each other, or the safety of everyone.
I want to write it but uhhh, that would take sooo much energy hahaha. So I’ll just leave it here.
