I’m barely on here anymore. I’m moving to pillowfort. I’ll post art and stories on Pillowfort.social as Flightning. 

I’m 28 and work full time and take transit to commute. Yes I still need to learn to drive, but I’m a dumbass who is waiting for an affordable electric car that fits my lifestyle needs and is more affordable than a tesla and more dependable than a nissan leaf.  At this point in my life I feel like I’m too old for spending hours on Tumblr laughing at memes and fandom, but hey I wish I still had the time for it. 

Social media time has to be preciously spent on projects I either care about or want to invest seriously in. Also I’m just not feeling the vibe here anymore. I don’t see old good friends post consistently like they used to either. It’s like tumblrweeds blowing in the desert winds for me now, with the occasional extremist hate blog howling in the distance, baiting all the lgbt and feminist people they can still find.

Twitter is faster for that kind of fun, quick stuff. You can go in and out and I find that I don’t get sucked into discourses or strange narratives and dramas, (on top of intrusive ads making things just psychologically weird) as easily because posts are short.

For friendly shitposting interactions, my personal twitter is the same as here: @iquey . Art twitter is @FeeLightning  because Flightning was taken already. My instagram is also @iquey.felix where I’m going to post some inktobers and any other art as well there. I’m kind of trying to make it so it’s mostly art /photography as the permanent posts, and if people who know me want to keep up with personal stuff then they can watch the temporary stories. Growing up just makes you value privacy more I guess. If you’re never going to be rich or famous, what’s the point of putting all your dumb shit online? 

I’m not deleting this blog since I don’t want some spam bot taking the URL for themselves. But basically I barely use tumblr and most of my friends from real life either don’t post as often anymore or use twitter/instagram/Tiktok more for their various strengths and purposes. I might still use this account on the rare occasion to see what communities exist and are worth interacting with or see if they have also moved to pillowfort, and also just to go through my archive and see what I liked a lot from tumblr‘s more fun era to use as inspiration there.

I’m just reblogging the same thing I said on my personal here. I might use this account slightly more since I made it more for art and follow a lot of artists, but I know I haven’t been very active because *woohoo* working all the time. There’s still a couple things I will need to post here though, before October 2019 is over. 

Also my tiktok is FeeLightning like my twitter, if you want to watch short form cringe comedy, occasional cosplay and lipsyncing. :’D

Here is a combined post of the three art pieces I’ve been recently working on. The lady in the room full of plants is a botanist. The girl with the brown hair with a shadowy monster behind her is from a different story I’m writing, and the crow and squirrel are inspired by the wildlife in the pacific northwest.

Eek! Tumblr almost deactivated me!

I got an email and i’m glad I checked it that asked me to verify i’m still using this username/url , WHICH I AM. If anyone you know has a url they signed up for and remember the login information of but just don’t use very often (like perhaps in the last year or 6 months, not sure what the inactivity period needs to be), i’d encourage them to check their emails that the tumblr is linked to. This tumblr is intended to be my art tumblr, as opposed to my personal tumblr, which I also use on a sporadic basis.
