People keep asking me if I mind being a role model to teenage girls, and I don’t know if that’s actively a thing I am doing but if there were some things that I could hope to inspire then these are them

Try to be kind to everybody

Always be learning - spend free time in books or museums, try to understand- your interests and tastes will widen and everything will become more enjoyable (ignorance is not the bliss you should want)

Learn to enjoy being on your own (if you don’t I think the above things are 10x more fun alone)

Try not to compare your physical self to other girls, enjoy your body, wear whatever you want! Especially strange clothes when it’s night time and you go to the nearest shop to get treats

Try to exercise every day, it’s addictive and chic, especially running outside to Rihanna

Try to be constantly moving forward, but also able to do nothing for a full day without feeling guilty

Try not to indulge in humour from mocking each other

Walk everywhere if you have the time, and don’t be on your phone while walking only listen to music (Brian eno is cool to listen to, I always see things I hadn’t before)

Try and let love that’s not working go

If you don’t like your job, get a new one, when you’re young you should be constantly changing

Try to make up quickly with close girlfriends, it’s fine to fall out, but they’re the most valuable

I’ve had a buzzcut for like 3 months now and this haircut is a god sent. It makes my life so much easier (I don’t have to do anything with it when I exercise!) and it looks cute as hell too.

Since cutting it I’ve had dozens of women tell me “I’ve always wanted to do that but never had the guts!” And like. It shouldn’t take guts. It’s just a haircut. The fact that we’ve all been brainwashed by the media & men to think that only long flowing hair is beautiful is complete horse shit. Support girls with short/frizzy/messy/different colored/unconventional hair
