Netherborn Clownpierce but he has an exceptionally long tail, even by their standards.
Netherborn Clownpierce but he's uncanny valley even amongst his own...
I need to stop drawing late at night but by gods give that man a tail that he then had to directly train himself how to fight without in order to keep it hidden.
"Netherborn", at least in the way I like to think about minecraft dimensions, is the blanket term for any born within the nether, raised there or not. There are of course a number of different people/species that then live within the Nether. In the context of Clown, he is a netherborn mortal. Human in every way that matters. Not a hybrid, or demon, though the latter is not something he would be opposed to being thought of. It throws people off, gives an added layer of intimidation.
Completely mortal, with physical attributes that come only from a people who adapted traits better suited to living in the nether over time. Not supernaturally. Not even to better aid in combat. A tail that can counterbalance you while navigating uneven, often times dangerous terrain and cliff edges is such a plus.
However, as a very vulnerable part of the body and to some degree an extension of the spine, having a tail when in active combat is like firing a red flare, directly announcing "hit me here".
Hiding that away and further teaching yourself how to fight while basically missing one of your most valuable assets in balance and movement takes time, but keeps it safe and hides away potential vulnerability in the same way his mask does, just for different reasons. It can be kept coiled around his waist/leg, covered completely and kept put of reach for the majority of the time. His silly little baggy pants help there. Shrug! :>
