my brother-in-law just told me that he wants to get a shirt with a QR code to his Venmo donation screen so that any time someone is recording him, they’ll be automatically redirected to the donation screen and requested to pay a Privacy Violation Fee and honestly i love that for him.
forced myself to take a half day (or a little over one lol) gonna do a few chores, try to go on a walk and journal - gotta do good things for my mental health
you know what it took for me to prioritize my mental health? i finally conceived after 7 years of trying to through IVF and i chose to quit my job and focus on myself and my son. it has been incredibly lonely at times but man, this break from employed work has been the best thing for me. i call it my Year of PTO.
it’s definitely a privilege to be able to not work, don’t get me wrong. but seriously, it took me having a kid and quitting my job to be okay with prioritizing my mental health. and if that’s not a statement on my current mental health, i don’t know what is.
anyway I love things like having independence, being intelligent, taking pride in my skills, not feigning incompetence, referring to myself as a woman instead of a girl, aging unapologetically, having pores, stretch marks, grey hairs, wrinkles and body fat, listening to my body's needs, eating as much as I need to satisfy my hunger, being bare-faced, wearing comfortable clothes, etcetera
this is my mantra 🥲
