Florence passed all her classes with flying colors. Her parents wanted desperately for her to become a herbologist. It’s something she cared about and excelled in as well as a stable career choice.
Despite her parents’ objections, Florence graduated Hogwarts and began pursuing art hardcore. This caused a major strain on her relationship with her parents. She’s fairly well-known in that sphere, both in the wizarding world and in the muggle world.
It didn’t come without struggle, though. It’s not easy to become a successful artist, especially with a war being waged.She still values kindness above all else, especially in the midst of war. After all, you never know when someone’s day could be their last. Make it a good one.
Her father was killed. He came across a masked Death Eater going after a young witch and tried to defend her, resulting in his untimely death. Florence’s mother become very unstable in her grief. Florence swore revenge. After her loss, Dumbledore reached out to the artist, offering her an outlet for her frustrations. Thus, Florence Fawley joined the ranks of the Order.
She runs her own art gallery where she displays and sells her own art and gives local up-and-coming artists a space to display and sell their work as well.
Her apartment is her safe haven, along with her cat, Alberta. It is filled with plants and unfinished paintings in odd spots - her kitchen, living room, bedroom, and multiple closets.
People who knew her from Hogwarts cannot even recognize her anymore. She is a totally different woman, a bit more calloused, driven by vengeance. Before Hogwarts, she knew little about duelling but she quickly taught herself. She even picked up kickboxing, lest she be caught without her wand. You will never catch her off guard - at least that is her hope.
Both of her older siblings have off and married, leaving Florence for her mother to fret over.
Florence has big time trust issues. She’s afraid of really letting people in because she’s terrified of losing anyone she loves.
Working in the Order has taken a huge mental and emotional toll on Florence, but she saves it for times when she is alone. She refuses to show others her pain in fear that she would make herself a burden on that person.
Florence is quite maternal toward her friends. If they’re hurt, she’ll heal them. If they’re sad, she’ll comfort them. If they’re weary, she’ll force them to rest.
