also same!! as a kid i heard it so much i got so sick of it, which led to me looking up "here comes the moon" on spotify to see if there was a song with that name. at the time i had no clue who george harrison was, or that he also wrote here comes the sun, but i already thought he was pretty cool. but yeah i agree with everything you're saying lol.

also yes pls listen to extra texture it's so good!!! especially "this guitar can't keep from crying" and "you" and "the answers at the end". if you listen to it let me know what you think!

my new place is pretty nice, if not kinda boring lol. also it’s a day late but happy Festivus!!! I couldn’t celebrate bc I was on a plane too yesterday but I hope you still had a fun day.

for song titles, “flowers never bend with the rainfall” by Simon and Garfunkel is one of my favorites. I just open be the visual of it, and the rest of the song is gorgeous too. still with the same s&g album, “a simple desultory philippic” it’s a fun one. the only other one that comes to mind is “crystal blue persuasion” by Tommy James and the Shondells.

all things must pass is really great!! it's really long though so there's about 6 songs on it i don't really know, but it's got one of my favourite songs by him of all time (awaiting on you all). art of dying is also super great! very good choice :D

my current favourite would have to be extra texture (read all about it). i love how the name is a pun on "extra extra read all about it" and the physical cover is textured (and the songs on it too obviously i love) i barely hear people talk about it which is unfortunate because it is so good

i also really like cloud nine and i remember his self titled album was my original favourite of his albums.

also, speaking of his self titled album, it's got the song here comes the moon on it. which song do you prefer: here comes the moon or here comes the sun?

im so sorry about the wait 😭😭 I’m moving right now so things have been super hectic

I actually never really liked here comes the sun. I’d heard it a billion times even before I got super into the Beatles so it always just kinda annoyed me. I now have a deeper appreciation for it, but it’s still not one of my favorites. I think here comes the moon is such a pretty song and it’s in a musical style I like more than here comes the sun. while i can’t deny how influential hcts is, I personally think the lyrics to hctm are a lot better. “Though dark, the mirror in the sky reflects us our light, looks like a little brother to the sun” MAN.

I love cloud nine too but I haven’t really listened to extra texture!! I’ll have to give it a listen soon!!

george is my favourite beatle too!! i don't know how you explain why he is your favourite so well, it takes me ages to actually list proper reasons :,)

also agreed about i me mine, it is so good and so underrated. it's like a comfort song for me, partly because of how easy it is to count the rhythm (is that the right word?) for it :) truly a wonderful song.

what's your favourite of george's solo albums?

(also i will continue watching seinfeld in order i think - it'll give me extra motivation to finish if i ever need it, but still thanks for letting me know it's so late in the show!)

it’s pretty basic but I LOVE all things must pass! my friend got me the album on vinyl a couple days ago (thanks @dynamite-maruyama ) and it’s already gotten a ton of use. there are just so many fantastic songs on it, including one of my favorite songs of all time ‘art of dying.’ thats the George album I’ve listened to the most, but I also really like his self titled album!! which one is yours?

ooh that’s so cool, but you have a way to go until festivus, it’s only mentioned in the last season ://but that episode is a really good standalone, so if you just want a fun twenty minutes, s9 e10 ‘the strike’ is the festivus episode!

i counted we had 8 songs in common (feel free to also count, i lose count way way way too easily) which is about half, which is pretty good. a lot of the songs you put on yours i wouldve put in mine if i had room, i guess thats why the beatles made it a double album lol

i really wish i had room for revolution 9 on mine but i did not :,( oh well

yes, George is absolutely my favorite beatle!! the first Beatles album I ever listened to all the way through was ‘with the Beatles’ (which is also part of why it’s my favorite) and the song ‘don’t bother me’ really stuck out! I saw it was the only original not written by John and Paul, and started doing some research on George. my mom is a Buddhist, so I thought how he incorporated Hindu and Buddhist teachings into his music was really beautiful, and of course his style is impeccable. what really solidified him as my favorite though is when I heard ‘I Me Mine’ for the first time, which I have not stopped thinking about since the first time I heard it. it’s such a criminally underrated song, and it’s my all time favorite from the Beatles. who’s your favorite Beatle? :)
