mikayla sources down the first person on their path, hands going up to stop their tracks with a charming smile on her features " please — " she drops the hands and her breath slows from the fast pace it was before " tell me do you by chance have glitter on you ? i swear i had it but turns out i actually don't and this look just won't be complete without it. "watch where the fuck you're going!" dontaz snapped at the person who had not so graciously bumped into him, forcing him to step into someone else's personal space - and right onto their foot. he turned to the person he had unknowingly assaulted, flashing them a smile. "sorry about that. some people," he cut his gaze sharply over to the back of the person who had caused their collision, before looking back at them, "don't know how to be aware of their surroundings."
mikayla stops in their tracks when the other is suddenly on their path, she grumbles under her breathe and is ready to make her distaste louder when she notices the situation. her features soften as she realizes it wasn't his fault in the matter, mikayla sighs and shake her head " it's fine, i agree.. " she turns to the culprit rolling their eyes " some people need some manners. are you hurt ? "

"you thirsty?" nigel asked as they approached the other, two cold water bottles grasped in one hand. he had left them a few moments earlier to grab a drink for himself, and was lucky enough to be given two for the price of one - even though he tried to pay for both. "the guy who's running the drink stand gave me an extra water bottle for free.. said it's on the house." nigel hated using their name to get things for free, but the guy had insisted and they could only say 'no' so many times before giving in.
sofia turns to the source of the voice as it reaches her, she smiles at him. eyes slowly widening as they continue to explain their predicament " what ? " she said exasperated, " someone gave you a free water at a music festival ? dude, you know how lucky you are ? that's crazy, if i were you i would try to use my powers for good now. " she laughs lightly but finally nods in response " but, yeah, i actually am thirsty. thanks. " she goes to grab the bottle and grins at the other.
*˖ ⊹ " why are you just standing there ? " her hands waved around her as destiny approached the other, a slight bounce in her step that matched the bass of the music echoing around citi field. coming to a halt in front of them, she reached out to grasp at their wrists and gave a tug. she pouted. henri takes a moment to realize the other was speaking to her, she slightly shakes her head to get herself out of her reverie and lets a smile take over her features. she was probably too in her head thinking of her next steps and it took the other to speak to her to realize she should probably enjoy herself while in this festival. henri chuckles, " that's a very good question, i have no answer to. " she jokes and lets her hand be taken by the other and starts to move along to the song slowly still " i'm sorry i could never do that to you. " her movement starts to pick up pace and she continues to hold on to the other as if their energy is being passed through that touch " it definitely is, it's been way too long that i had a space to have this much fun. who are you most excited for, though, i must know ? "

ultraviolet had just barely concluded their encore . harlowe lets out a carefree laugh as they pull their bandmates into a group hug . sending off one last wave to the audience , the group makes their exit . there’s just something about performing that gives them a rush . they make their way down from the stage , nearly bumping into someone as they reach the last step . “ whoa ! my bad . ” side steps [ your muse ] . “ you up next or just trying to catch one of my band members for a quick selfie ? ” they playfully tease .
freya had made her way to the back when their set was coming to its end, to say hi, congratulate, whatever it was it was still a question to her. she stops in her tracks when she notices the other didn't see her and were making a turn to her direction " shit, harls. careful with the goods. " she jokes as she motions to herself. freya shakes her head at the first sentence but fer features morph into a questionable face at the rest " why would i want to take a picture with any of them ? " for anyone else her tone might sound a little concerning but freya could trust the other to know that it was one of her badly acted jokes " no. i just came to say you guys were really good up there. you never seize to amaze me. " she smiles, very few people were privy to a genuine compliment from freya but harlowe would always be one of them " how are you feeling ? "

joey sits atop a graffiti - covered wall , overlooking the bustling crowd at the crescent music festival . he takes a leisurely drag from his joint , letting the soothing smoke fill his lungs . as the sweet scent of cannabis mingles with the melodies in the air , he turns to [ your muse ] , offering a casual nod and a sly smile . “ hey , who’s got you hyped up the most tonight ? the lineup’s stacked , i know , but like … i’m curious . any must - see acts you dyin’ to see tonight ? ”
freya had been walking through the crowd, enjoying a set or another until she had a reason to go set herself up. gaze notices the other at the wall and slowly moves to join him atop of it, being another situation she would probably reach for the joint he had but her hands stayed by her side, she turns her head to face joey and shrugs " me ? " it was a playful quip but it was a blurry line when ego is taken into consideration " otherwise i would have to say, ultraviolet of course. you aren't a bad watch either. what about you ? anyone you’re excited to see ? "

“ oh my god hi ! ” she excitedly waves , jogging over to [ your muse ] . “ i thought it was going to be IMPOSSIBLE to find you , ” juno laughs , flipping her hair over her shoulder . “ not gonna lie the crowd is A LOT bigger than last year’s . ” not that she isn’t used to it . she breathes in deeply before exhaling , catching her breath . “ anyway , i’m pretty sure illenium’s set is coming up soon . you wanna join me ? ”
henri blinks quickly as the other comes close to her to get her bearings and smiles at her " hey ! " index finger points to herself " you were looking for me ? it probably wouldn't be that hard. " she chuckles. the words make her look over juno's shoulder to the crowd " god, i know. it's so chilling but amazing at the same time, the energy is definitely better than last time because of how many more people there are. " she chews at her bottom lip before smiling " oh really ? yeah, actually i would love to join you, definitely. " she stumbles over her words but perks up excitedly at the prospect.

she quickly spots mikayla not too far off in the distance . teagan seamlessly weaves her way through the crowd to get to them , a soft smile surfacing on the brunette’s features . in the few times she’s spent with the other , she’s grown fond of their presence . “ having fun ? or are you more of a concert person than a music festival person ? ”
it takes them a second but they notice teagan coming their way, they excitedly wave to the other and let a smile take place in her features. mikayla can't help but be thankful that she found teagan, not only had she lost the group she had come with a while ago, she also feels grateful that she had another excuse to hang out with the other, because although the times that they had spent together had been short and scarce she felt like they could become great friends and teagan had started to grown on them immediately. mikayla chuckles and nods " i am ! nothing against concerts, i like them. but i would definitely say i'm more of a festival person. the energy is so much more hype and there's many more choices to listen to. how about you ? having fun? anyone in particular you’re excited to watch ? "

although she might not have been enjoying the event or even the company she seemed to be forced to keep … she was enjoying her drink . finally , something that wasn't going to be interrupted by some grotesque emerging creature . looking at the light haired woman , " cheers to some peace , " she regards .
freya turns to the other with an arch of her eyebrow, she looks at the drink before letting her gaze meet the woman " two questions, " she holds up two fingers as she comes closer to the other " where is my drink ? and — " she tilts her head " should i be offended that you are calling this peace when i'm not on the stage anymore ? "

there was something to be said about arlo becoming the sensible whenever sofia was involved. even at a festival he had been running around doing all the things he grew concerned about when it was her. it's what brought them to the food truck to begin with; arlo's growing concern that she wasn't drinking enough water despite not being able to remind the last time he'd had a bottle himself. ❝ are you sure that's enough ? i can go get you another. what about food ? have you eaten today ? when's the last time you did ? ❞
sofia can't help the smile that graced her features at the other's concern of her hydration, she chugs the bottle of water making it theatrical for his benefit. sofia in fact had not been preoccupied with how much water she had been intaking but she wouldn't vocalize that otherwise she would be concerned for arlo's wellbeing. she lets a giggle flow out of her and shakes her head in amusement " yes dad, that's enough. i ate so much already, i love festival food. I can't get enough. you can breathe now, please you are scaring me. " she jokes and offers her water bottle to him, knowing how he could be.

❛ henri , we gotta stop meeting like this . i'm gonna start thinking you're purposely trying to run into me . ❜ although , his words were a lie . if anything , he believed she didn't want to keep running into him . besides , it was pretty 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐘 it seemed to run into people at a very public event that it seemed everyone was attending . but either way , when it came to henri , he 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃𝐍'𝐓 withhold the snark that wanted to come out of his mouth .
henri can't help the roll of her eyes at his words " yes, tristan. i'm here because i'm stalking you, not because i'm one of the headliners for this thing. '' sarcasm drips from her tone and offers him a sickly sweet smile. it was always hard to see him in events and spaces that were supposed to be easygoing for her, but she wouldn't let that show in her face as she was scared that it could be misinterpreted not only by him but by people around them. she clears her throat and lets the sarcasm leave her words to make space for a more genuine take its place " it's good to see you here. are you enjoying yourself ? " her intentions of the first part are kept hidden as she didn't want the conversation to spiral into one of their arguments about their goals and differences.

❛ not the glitter ! ❜ she yelled out before quickly grabbing the small container of glitter she had brought . dropping it on the ground and watching it pour out everywhere , 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍'𝐓 in the books , ( but here she was . ) ❛ oh my gosh , we have to 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐏 it back up . ❜ she said , just as quickly bending down and starting to push the dirt filled glitter into the small container with her finger .
sofia watches the scene happen before her and her eyes widen when the glitter splashes on the floor, her hands immediately raise to show her innocence and she holds in a chuckle. when the other bends down, she crouches and shakes her head and places a hand on luciana's shoulders " girl, no. leave the glitter where it is, that's sad. i beg of you not to put this on your face anymore. " sofia takes the container from the other's hands " come on, i have glitter you can use or i can give you money. i don't know. "

it was not often that kellan actually felt betrayed by another human being , half the time they were more than likely on another planet … what had happened between themselves and mikayla had a big impact on them . they had never seemed to recover from the unresolved questions and lack of understand that had collapsed their relationship . their own big mouth seeming to spill out secrets that the other had used ruthlessly . staring through shades , " i didn't know they let slithering serpents into nice fun events , " daggers shot in her direction .
mikayla has been in this position more often than she should admit, choosing their career and reputation over her personal relationships, even ones that mean a lot to her. they are not often faced with the people she pulled a fast one on, however on more than one occasion she has seen kellan before that moment it was easy to ignore them and go the other way but before they noticed the other they were already facing him. mikayla curses under their breath before turning her full attention to them when they speak. the roll of her eyes soon followed the words " they let anyone that paid in, clearly. " they motion to the other " why does it concern you they let in either way ? was hoping to see me ? "
