in the same way that keeping yourself alive is defience, keeping your neighbours and friends alive is resistance.

Your sphere of influence might be a dozen people or less. But staying on the phone late with a friend who's struggling, bringing your elderly neighbours' bins in off the kerb, ordering groceries to your friend's house or going out shopping for them if you're able- these things all make a difference.

Maybe it feels like you can't stop the atrocities of the world so why bother with anything? But you can make a difference in one life, and that's important too.
