Hello my name is David, I am relatively new to the scene of glass as an art, I have background with both wood and metal working, with primary studies into science and engineering. I have been blowing glass now for 8 months as of December 2012 and plan to continue my studies. My goal is to learn Venetian style and work with goblets, as I believe one can tell someones skill by the ability to produce fine goblets. well any questions or comments please message me and i will reply as soon as i can.

Vestibule Installation: "Unorthodox Renaissance: The Alchemists"

This Installation will portray an Abandoned building in the wood that once once used by an Alchemists during his studies into the realms of glass. It shows the relation of how the pseudoscience of Alchemy led to modern glassblowing and how it was a driving force in the creation of the art/craft medium we know today. This Exhibit will have a week long series of Demonstrations that accompany it every day that coincide with the duration of the install that relate to the install itself and the background of the Alchemist from noon until 1 pm.
