ted thoughts ….. I wish the game went more into his paranoia and feeling left out from the group (like in the other versions of the story) like him feeling that they all hate him, considering his life in the game canon was all about knowing he didn’t REALLY fit in with the people he surrounded himself with, his fear of being found out for being a liar. And by compulsion he just keeps that facade up even when there’s just 5 people left.

I do love game Ted’s character but they could’ve leaned more into his paranoia about the group rather than just ‘I’m worried they’re all gonna be mad if I have ellen to myself :(‘ because I think the twist on him feeling excluded from the group now being even more literally his own fault is interesting. How he’s already spent his entire adult life being paranoid of others seeing through him n now it’s self inflected. As opposed to the og story where he was just assuming n paranoid. now he has a real reason to be and it’s literally on him. Like I’ve said before the game giving Ted paranoia pre-am is such an interesting but odd choice. And yet it’s in the only adaptation where they hardly acknowledge his connection with the rest of the group as a whole. And How tf are u gonna keep those secrets for 100+ years who cares THAT much . Ik this is like surface level idk

Controversial take that I think people will hate but it had to be said. I’ve never actively shipped with a character who is canonically gay but I’m also really fucking tired of fandom misogyny and harassment. Maybe this ask will get deleted cuz idk if this comes off as offensive?

The misogyny in some sides of the selfship community makes me so sad. I feel like it comes from the usual sexism in fandom spaces anyway, women and young girls have always been mocked for crushing on characters, while guys being sexually attracted to female characters and constantly sexualising them is fine and ‘normal’?

So many female selfshippers who ship with male characters are dissed, or get harassed for shipping with a ‘gay’ male character when it’s not even confirmed and often disproven by canon? Also bi people exist? I honestly don’t think it’s a crime if some 15 year old girl is thirsting over a anime boy you personally headcanon as mlm. Scribbling selfship art of you and a gay character in private isn’t going to make you homophobic or erase all queer representation ever. Also a character isn’t only defined by their sexuality, and I personally don’t think it’s wrong if someone is heavily attached to a character for a lot of reasons and doesn’t see their sexuality as a barrier to stop them fro having a crush on them. Like they’re not real. Sending hate mail over a harmless wholesome selfship is insane. As long as the selfshipper isn’t actively promoting bad things, isn’t homophobic and all that then what’s the issue? Just headcanon them as bi and live with it. Block and move on. There are literal proshippers who are actively trying to post gross things for the purpose of being gross, a girl fantasising about being treated right is not that bad 😭
