This is what that one post was taking about.
You can be as offended as possible about the language used, or you can look at the actual intent behind the words.
This man grew up in a time when trans people used that word for themselves. He probably hung out with a few often enough and just absorbed the language.
He was very much using it in a positive context. The barista heâs referring too is probably the only one that makes his favorite drink just right.
This is why Queer elders get so annoyed with the younger members of the community. Too focused on policing the terms people use while there are far bigger problems we are all dealing with.
#this is all true#baby gays PLEASE learn that the words you scream at people online for are still in active use AMONG OUR COMMUNITY IN REAL LIFE#there are trans people who refer to themselves as trannies & transssexuals. there are lesbians who call themselves bulldykes. gay men who#call ourselves faggots. and it's done not in a self-effacing way but in honest joy and reclamation and it is NOT your place as#self-appointed keyboard warriors to bitch at us to stop. YOU'RE the new ones here. learn the culture if you want to survive.#and make the fucking effort to go meet queer people older than 20 in meatspace for FUCK'S sake#i get that you didn't get the trial by fire that the rest of us got but we'll be goddamned if we're gonna let you tell us we're not allowed#to be in OUR spaces smelling like smoke#old man yells at cloud#queerdom#trans matters#twitter dot com#blog together queue alone
This.
I'm 30something and new(a year and change) to my transition and you can pry tranny from my cold dead hands.
I'm also a gay man and you can pull faggot out of my clenched teeth.
I stood on the outside for decades like an orphan in the rain but I never stopped fighting the good fight as an "ally" and now I'm inside I will say and do whatever I fucking want forever because those words feel right on me.
It's fun and it's sexy and its mine and just fuck all the way off. I didn't walk alone through the dark for 25 years to get here to be told by angry children with anxiety what I am not allowed to do.
This is part of what "kill the cop in your head" means, btw.
Stop looking for Rules to follow or punish people for not following, pay the most attention to actions, intentions, and consequences.
My fingertips smell like plants (was pollinating some of my flowers) and honest to get pure euphoria right there
Happy bhm!! Especially to black alterhumans and black queer people that feel excluded from spaces constantly shouting from the rooftops that theyâre inclusive and welcoming. I hope YOU especially catch a fucking break. đŠľ
Are your disabilities intersected with who you are?
Counting physical disabilities, mental disabilities, neurodivergencies, personality disorders, spiritual health. Anything you would count as affecting your general life.
This is for any therians, otherkin, godshards, alterhumans that identify as not human in an identity way and not a hobby way. Sorry otherpaw.
Do your disabilities affect your theriotype/kin?
Yes, I am me because of my disabilities
No, my kin has nothing to do with my disabilities
Somewhat, my disabilities were considered when finding myself
My disabilities go against my kin (neutral)
I feel my disabilities and kin are interconnected
It's my 2 year anniversary on Tumblr đĽł
Iâm sorry what
do you consider yourself human?
yes
no

[hate to be that guy but if you would consider reblogging for reach i would love to have a larger pool of data here]
âThere are no âeldersâ or leaders [of the otherkin community]. Just because someone has a website, has written a few essays, is an admin or a moderator, or has had more âexperienceâ than you, it does not necessarily make them any more qualified than you to say something or any more worthy of respect. There is no arbiter of the truth here and there is no one who should be given special treatment.â
-Excerpt from âAdvice for those new to Otherkin,â an article written by Mikhâto in 2014
ALTERHUMANS I AM SUMMONING YOU
let's start a chain
everyone reblog with your alterhuman toxic trait
mine is that I forget that I'm not actually the size of a cat, which usually ends up with me stuck in a box
i think i can save everyone.
I think everyone can see my ears too
but also my loyalty. when I trust someone, I am loyal to them with blind trust. that often gets me hurt.

I keep waiting for an opportunity to be like "hey btw I am a wolf" in every conversation even though no, the guy at the grocery store doesn't really need to know that
ough this is hard,,,if we're talking a specifically alterhuman toxic trait, i do not know, if we're talking just a toxic trait as a general, i'd say the fact I'm stubborn to a fault
I am jealous and possessive with who I consider my pack and demand their attention all the time, and get angry/sad if they don't focus on me (specially when I'm in a wolfdog shift) I recently recognized it and I'm working on it tho
I to, am lowkey possessive over My People (Aka polycule + my dog)
i am also kinda possiseesive over my people...but that's more of the really close people... In general I'm just really protective...don't shit talk any of my people especially not my partners...
As for a silly bonus: if have kitty paws...why no knock markers on floor :(
Okay. No nuance, four options. You can explain yourself in the tags or replies or reblogs if you want, but the point is the poll results themselves.
For clarity's sake, I can't possibly cover every identity label that exists, so I'm going to say "alter/nonhuman" and as long as you are Something Other Than Baseline Human, this means you, even if you don't normally use those terms for yourself. This is not because I'm trying to apply those labels to you, just that I need something that fits in the poll.
If you are not alter/nonhuman, DO NOT take this poll, there is no "I'm orthohuman" button and that's intentional!
Alter/nonhumans, which one of these statements is true for you?
I have a strictly spiritual origin(s).
I have a strictly psychological origin(s).
I have a combined spiritual and psychological origin(s).
I use neither of these labels to describe my origin(s).
Please help me reblog this for reach! I was inspired by an anonymous asker to @otherkin-confessional regarding the perceived lack of spiritual alter/nonhumans, and the number of responses saying that their experiences are contrary to that observation. I have a guess that the numbers aren't actually dissimilar at all and that it's a pretty even split, generally speaking, which is why it's such a binary choice. I'd like to see if that's actually correct or if there really is a one-sided split in the community.
I am once again asking my fellow other/fictionkind to stop crosstagging otherkind posts into the otherhearted tag en masse.
Alterhumanity wrapping around my everything like a blanket of snow and ice, warming me from the bitter cold and cooling me from the blazing sun.
Alterhumanity is a very weird subject for me because, in my eyes, it's very 'normal' but to the outside world it is not. I think it is interesting and if I had the resources (and confidence) I would love to figure out why this is.
oh yeah ur right-
I guess maybe people donât really have like⌠probably the terminology for it? Like that one post about the older gentleman who identified with deer
or they think itâs childish and cringe bc this world is obsessed with perceptions and avoidance of that image
my name is season & these are my greasons
